Currently in the middle of a replay because of CP2077 hype. Really enjoying it, but its far from perfect. Mods help (pic) and a decent reshade preset to fix the shitty vanilla colors.

It was genuinely game of the decade even if you personally didn't like the story or gameplay. It had so much love and detail poured into it, and the emotions portrayed via animations and voice acting was the only title deserving of "AAA". You can't even refute it even if you think it's dogshit because it was the only game between 2010-2019 that was truly triple A including its two DLCs. We haven't had good DLC since before 2010s.

My brother bought it and he's been playing so i get to watch it, i really don't get what's interesting/fun about it desu. Most of the time is spent talking to NPC and the gameplay is just "hit, hit, dodge", am i missing something? Is it cause he's still in the early levels (around 18 iirc)?

the main draw is the story world characters - thats obviously personal taste. i love the game but the combat is definitely simple. but playing on hardest makes fights more exciting imo. and makes your potion buffs matter. sign/decoction build is the best/interesting way to play i reckon

Do people actually praise the story for this game? I haven't seen so much lazy useless padding since Daggerfal. That chain of events in Novgirad was so idiotic like good god, and the game keeps telling you that Ciri is in mortal danger the entire time, you arrive in the span of a few hours to save her yet everything about the game design encourages exploration and wasting time by playing cards with random people.
