What is the best Fallout game?

I know 3 was your first fallout game. I also know you've played it on xbox.

1. 2 is too wacky and XD Randem though it is also extremely good. I don't like the exploration in new vegas as much. 1 felt the most alien and bewildering (well, maybe 2 did actually) but the world felt threatening too. The brotherhood of steel initiation quest is incredibly immersive and heart poundingly exciting and scary. Not to mention the battle with the Master which was horrific but also made you think, and had a revolutionary nonviolent way to complete.

Any that aren't 3, 4, 76, or BoS are viable.

Fallout: New Vegas, it plays like shit and is boring without mods but the role playing/decisions you make are actually interesting and exploration is good, Though talking down the legate will never be as good as talking down the master

Charisma victory is the most satisfying in Fallout 2 and I wish they could have recreated something like it in New Vegas. You can't talk down Horrigan, but you can flip his Enclave entourage and hack the guns in the main room. Maybe instead of talking the Legate out of fighting you, you could convince a few NCR deserters to join you. Before the battle you could convince an ex Ranger Sniper to have your back from a peak on the ridge overlooking the camp. Maybe you could convince some Legion troops that the burned man has returned and he's going to take revenge on them so they abandon the fight. Etc etc. There is a lot they could have done to make a Charisma victory against Lanius more satisfying.

Fallout 76 unironically. It has the best gameplay and the best exploration in the series. It has a huge variety of enemies and loot always feels rewarding. It even made garbage and junk extremely valuable since every system in the game is designed to consume junk and give you a benefit. The story is also as good as any other Fallout game which means that the stories have always been garbage so 76 not having one is also a positive feature.

I did play them, just after I played 3, No and 4. Going back to such an archaic gameplay system was unemployable. I don’t care that the mic interactions are slightly better, and the actual narrative isn’t anything I found special. You are a chosen one on a mission to save your home, real revolutionary there grandpa. Or how about being the great grandchild of a chosen one who is also a chosen one?

fallout 1 and 2 are both equally good in my eyes, albeit they are a bit different.
Meanwhile bethesda has never made a good fallout game
