Is there a single game with a more unified and satisfying aesthetic both graphically and musically than Guilty Gear?

Wish I was autistic enough for fighting games. The only game where I bothered to actually learn combos was Way of the Samurai 4. I even bought Rev and the Rev 2 upgrade only to never touch it after I buy Baiken and play around for five minutes.

I wish I knew what was wrong with me. I played 30 some odd casual matches of street fighter V online today and lost all of them. Every so single one. And that was after an hour of practice doing basic combos in training mode

The first step is figuring out what you did wrong.

Pretend you're the other guy. How's he gonna attack? What's your answer? How are you going to deal with range? How are you going to deal with jump-ins? How are you going to deal with getting put in the corner?

Combos are supposed to come after you can actually land that first hit.

Faust is mandatory for me.

Don't worry about winning games, just worry about winning individual exchanges. My first fighting game was SF4 and I lost over 100 matches before I won any. What kept me interested was stuff like finally anti airing the guy that keeps jumping at me or successfully teching a throw after being thrown 4 times. Even if I lost right after I still felt accomplished being able to figure out what I was supposed to do and I enjoyed just trying different things to see if they worked.

There's nothing wrong with you, just change your expectations and learn to enjoy the learning process.

I dont think it would be so bad if the inputs would work when I needed them too. A good chunk of time is spent just frustrated when I dont feel in control

Like in isolation i can do them fine. I cam shoryu 20/20 times in a row with no problem. But when I'm doing something like crouching heavy punch into shoryu then like sometimes it does it, sometimes it does a super instead, sometimes nothing and I dont feel like I have any feedback as to why

Standing still and doing the DP input under no pressure is a lot easier than doing it under pressure. If you're opponent jumps at you and you have little time to react with DP the input becomes a lot harder. Same with doing it in combos since you may have to adjust the time based on what move you're cancelling from, and you run the risk of doing it too fast or too slow. Even though it's the same input you should think of those situations as completely different and practice them individually.

Guilty Gear has had a black and gay character for almost 20 years and no one gave a shit.

You can so easily tell the fake ass shitposters that clearly don't know a thing about Guilty Gear when you mention Venom in these scenarios.

It's more of a tragic tale than anything else

The game does it for you by simply pressing one button repeatedly.
Of course that means you don't have control of your character so you can't really use your meter, do ultras of any kind and can't do certain techniques easily.

"Autocombo" is the term used to describe automatic combos that can be initiated and carried out with extremely simple commands (for example, in FighterZ every character has a Light Light Light autocombo, an MMM autocombo, etc.).

The term has become fairly derogatory within the FGC since it's designed for a "casual" button-mashing style of play that appeals to newcomers, and having them in a game is thus seen as "dumbing it down" for the casuals since unlike things like Automatic Mode, they can't just be turned off since a lot of moves are inherently built into and only accessible through autos.

Of course, you don't have to use autocombos and they can be somewhat disabled if you're trying to use an actual manual string most of the time by holding back during a combo, but they still have a dirty reputation as "THEY'RE MAKING THE GAMES EASIER FOR MASS APPEAL THAT MEANS THE GAMES SUCK NOW" features. Of course, the people who mention autocombos in these threads and talk giddily about how "muh sekrit club" is gonna be ruined usually can't play fighting games for shit anyway, nor do they want to. It's just another thing to bandwagon on and pretend you actually care about, same as most other shit on this fucking board.

TL;DR: autocombos are automatic combos you get from mashing one button and everyone calls it out as ez-mode scrub tactics and the controversy makes it ripe for shitposting and baiting.

That's the whole reason why I hate that shit, it makes all regular combos look clunky as hell and just a chain of one or two hits->wait->one or two hits->wait->... which is both awful to look at and play for me on top of making each combo take way more time to do than they should, it's the same reason why I hate playing as and against Ram.
