DMC power levels is just typical anime bullshit and I don't understand why people have always been so obsessed with it. In DMC1 Dante beats Mundus who has eaten the demon fruit and can bend fucking reality but in DMC5 he gets jobbed by pre-fruit demon Vergil.

Most likely answer is they're all equal in terms of power.
Sure, Nero knocked Dante the fuck out for a few minutes then proceeded to beat Vergil in a duel after he decided to humour his kid a bit. But in the very next scene they backhand Nero halfway across the stage like it was nothing. Then you get Dante and Vergil arguing about having an even count in their duels in hell at the end of the game, so there's no clear winner anywhere.
