ah. sekiro-kun is here.

I mean sure but I don't have pics to contribute.

Don't know if the price is right.

Didn't they already confirm there's no dlc?

Yeah, Sekiro is over

>beat demon of hatred today

Attached: 1565815122401.png (833x676, 527K)

They didn't confirm it officially but an insider said that there's no DLC planned

They didn't, but it's somewhat unlikely.
The Old Hunters was revealed at Gamescom, along with DS3's official gameplay reveal. The difference is that BB's expansion was already confirmed to be in the works. We have nothing that implies that they aren't focusing specifically on Elden Ring.
Honestly, Sekiro doesn't need DLC. It's not an RPG, so there's no real incentive for optional content, unless they added new prosthetic tools. Even Hirata Estate - the only area in Sekiro that could be considered "optional" - is required for one of the endings.

This game is much easier when you realize every swing of your sword has to be deliberate.

From always releases their artbooks after everything is wrapped up. Looks like we're not getting DLC this time around.

post a more based move than Ichimonji: Double

Going by rule of cool I would say quite a few.
Dragon Flash is neat though

Good.

This game has zero replayability and a post-game DLC would make no sense.

replayability is a meme faggots use to pretend their game is worth playing because it "has content" that amounts to nothing more than a number going up when the gameplay alone is all that actually matters

Demon of hatred is the hardest boss in the game, to be honest. I hate it stupid sculptor why he did it

>did shura ending yesterday
>got new combat art
>"one mind"
>the hell is that?
>read description
>no fucking way
>I'm literally Vergil now

this game is the shit desu

Attached: shura.jpg (1920x1080, 973K)

>tfw there are things we will never know from the universe or the characters

Attached: 1562906438034.jpg (680x698, 37K)

Could be a sequel in a few games user.
Sometimes they have franchises come back next gen too

Didn't say not having replayability was a bad thing - but compared to other Soulslike it doesn't have any and From notoriously integrate DLC into the mid/late game so one would have to trudge through the game to get to it IF they had any. An investment many are unlikely to wanna do.

>Muh lore!
Eat shit.

>but compared to other Soulslike it doesn't have any
Thats where your wrong.
I found it more enjoyable than souls to replay because there was no gear to fuck with. Just mastering the tools you keep from ng until you learn all the tricks.
You are basically saying action games have no replayability because they arent RPGs with online and those are very replayable.

>"I'm poor so I demand 60 dollar items give me 300+ hours of entertainment....

I spend 100 bucks on average every weekend on drinks and food between girlfriend and buddies. Your expectations on how much entertain you should get per dollar is absurd. 40-50 hours of game play is perfectly reasonable.

I don't get it, why are people saying this? is this a meme or something? yeah, he looked scary at first because you could tell it wasn't a sekiro boss but more like a bloodborne beast, but he was one of the easiest fights in the whole game on ng+ runs, once you figure him out he's not tough at all, but it's a pretty fun fight I have to admit, always fight him if I have the chance

Take out phase 1 and I agree.
I hate when the first part of a fight is so pointless it may as well not be there.

but then you could cheese him with the finger and shield too easy, not that you cant already

fuck anons should i buy this game? it's on sale rn. i already beat ds3 so many times on sl1 i can no longer enjoy the game at all and as much as i love ds1 it's just too slow paced to become autism obsessed with.

Attached: 1543097293889.jpg (276x301, 15K)

Its an action game with souls exploration.
If that sound good go for it, I did all 4 runs had fun the entire time because of how fun some tools/arts are once you master the mechanics.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong playing this game. I just spent an hour dying to this blue ninja dude and I finally beat him by cheesing him with thrusts but I know that that's the "wrong" way to do it.
Why is it that I can parry other guys and oneshot them but even if I did the mikiri thing to his kicks he instantly recovered all his posture? Even setting him on fire didn't help.

where are you

>just beat the game
>did dragon's homecoming ending
>tfw emma didn't come with
why didn't sekiro bring his waifu with him

The estate in the 3 year flashback thing.

ok it sounds like youre really early game. i don't know if you're supposed to be going after the lone shadow guy yet. he is seriously killer until later.

If you havent done much of the game yet dont worry, thats a much later game enemy they toss in for shits and giggles. Kind of like how black nights are in 1.
As far as posture goes thats always related to the enemies health bar but varies per enemy.
Some will let you punish them to break posture right away and others will require you to damage their health bar before any posture damage sticks.

The only way to deathblow him without damagimg him is to apply pressure constantly. Once you master the game they are actually really fun enemies to 1v1 because most mooks cant even keep up while these guys can still get you if you arent on point.

Thanks. I suppose I should've realised he was deliberately harder than the rest of the area.

Did you guys know you can get that last scroll (the one for mastering a style) from the tengu in the serpent shrine idol? Pretty cool touch, only realized it in ng+3
Well done realizing that early you could mikiri his kicks, took me all the way to ng+ before I figured that out. But as others have said, he's a bit strong for you right now. Now get out of this thread before you get spoiled

>sekiro was just a side project
don't have a basedboy wojak picture right now

It was also one of the first times the game didnt feel like half the concepts got cut.
How often does a from game actually feel finished

I don't even know where to go or what to do at this point. I beat Genichiro (I think thats his name) at the top of the castle and now I'm lost. Stopped playing for months and now kinda wanna beat it.

There are 3 paths you can take.
The abandoned dungeon around the castle connects to an area (or 2) and the shrine behind the castle's small woods is another area as well.
Theres another route into the dungeon nearby thats helpful to find as well.

you can go below ashina or you can go across the bridge to the valley area.

Talk to Kuro downstairs and then you have two options: cross the bridge behind the castle to the serpent shrine and keep going until you reach Senpou temple or go to dungeon thingy (forgot its name) and go down to Ashina depths

That's awesome. If an experimental side project can sell nearly 3 million copies, I wonder how many copies Elden Ring will sell.
Also its depressing that the first mainline DMC entry in 10 years got outsold by a Miyazaki side project

>I wonder how many copies Elden Ring will sell.
Considering they got Martin to take part it will probably be the hottest shit for the masses while still a great challenge for us that wont cheese it

Thanks anons.

are there any other "secret" mechanics or tricks to bosses like the spear thrust on the headless ape? owl made me laugh when he fucking mikiri'd my charge attack because it happens to be thrust, wasn't even mad it was just fun to see him using this shinobi move, but I couldn't figure out any more of these stuff and I'm on my 5th run farming for the all moves trophy

The snap seeds do damage to the corrupted monk illusion, a ton of it in fact. Besides that all I can think of is using malcontent on the demon of hatred, but I don't think that's really a secret

the monkeys are obligatory but you should be able to get them in a minute easy by now
the headless ape upper ledge is actually pretty useful for the second fight
illusion monk doesnt like the snap seeds or special axe
the bulls can be finished early with proper parry/damage
schichimen can be arial deathblowed
snake eyes will poison herself and the other pukes off the sabimaru
use confetti on everything because what else do you spend money on

I cant think of any else that easily

The spears spin attack is really nice for certain encounters as well, most tools are amazing but only in certain circumstances. Kind of like megaman

Honestly I think they'd be better off just making a sequel instead.

I actually really like Whirlwind Slash as well. It's fast which makes it very safe and usable. It's not winning any awards on damage but it's crowd control abilities are actually pretty nice. It's just a nice sexy double slash.

Isn't it incredible they released a full complete game and that's it
It's like I'm living in fucking 2004 in here

Yes

Attached: ashina style.webm (640x360, 2.86M)

it's also good for avoiding certain attacks and do a follow up strike if you know what you're doing, not gonna lie I only know this because I watched a streamer fight lady butterfly and he wanted to deflect and attack at the same time and accidentally did that move and "dodged" her kick with it, the game has really neat hitboxes if you play by it's rules

high monk is also the new default response to any sweep attack once you get it

Yikes

sekiro is far better than the dark souls games. not lore or atmosphere-wise, but gameplay-wise, the only wise that matters.

Attached: .png (191x214, 33K)

>beat Sekiro 4 times already
>can't for the love of me get through phase two of the isshin sword saint bossfight without kuros charm and bell demon
I honestly gave up after 3 days and killed him without those two, still a great game, I love the ocmbat.

I enjoyed sekiro a lot while i played it but after beating it i have to say its definitely the worst souls type from game. Even dark souls 2 i kept playing after i beat it for a little

I can't for the love of me beat Dark souls 3, it's such an exhausting and annoying game. Sekiro on the other hand is far more enjoyable, combatwise and exploration wise since you can actually jump and there's stuff to discover on the vertical level.

I know, that's why I'm actually glad there's no fucking DLC. I have the game, that's it. There's no more.

>is an action game with exploration and checkpoints
>but its like souls i swear
Minecraft had you drop shit on death first

What would the sequel be about? Which ending would be canon?

I mean, is it really souls type? there aren't that many elements from souls games in it desu

>Even dark souls 2 i kept playing after i beat it for a little
Literally no opinion on video games you ever have will be worth anything.

the only one I felt like had some potential for a sequel was the return ending, for obvious reasons, but now that I think about it all of them could work except for purification, even shura could be interesting imo

>spamming L1

Attached: 1559546799204.png (583x482, 119K)

If it works it works
Not my fault they lied to shit about pressing it repeatedly.

And I do the same thin in souls, spam LB inbetween moves because it makes me feel like im doing something instead of just standing

Attached: ashina art.webm (640x360, 2.96M)

The first miniboss of those assholes made me quit the game on my first runthrough. When you fight in that small well you start, the camera fucks you so easily. After a two week break I started the game again, started from scratch and after 4 hours I reached him again and defeated him first try. But those assholes still give me trouble.

Just got spoiled on the snap seeds strat, so I'm not going to do that (I don't even have any). But I'm getting butt flustered on corrupted monk illusion bros, I need help. Do you start going for posture after about half health? Posture damage just does not stick. My sword hits do so little damage too. Is it worth it to deflect the spin to win move? The last hit always knocks me too far back to retaliate. Also I think this boss is easier than o'rinn just outside, I gave up on her.

It's always worth to deflect the hits, it's also worth it to hit her each time you have the opportunity to do so. Hit until the boss hits back, deflect as much as you can and keep up the pressure to avoid the posture bar from regenerating. Corrupted Monk is one of the more difficult cases though because she has an insane healthpool, takes little damage (unless you use the confetti) and has a big as fuck posture bar. But still one of the funniest fights in the entire game. She's up there in my favourites desu.

>always cheese him all this time
>now I want to fight him
>NG+2
What am I in for bros?

NG is harder than NG+6/7 (don't remember which is the max)

are we sure it was the rope giants hands that Wolf grabbed ahold to?

Never, they've moved on to Elden ring.

>tfw first playthrough, having lots fun
>exploring around, tons of new areas to find
>climb up sepou, spelunk the ashina depths, traverse the hidden valley, and uncover the mists shrouding mibu village all before fighting genichiro
>genuinely feel that childlike excitement and wonder at being lost in this unfamiliar game
>but also tfw I discover from skimming threads and looking at the traditional map that I've discovered all but one locale, rest of the game is going to be just beating bosses
Why must my happiness always be so swiftly curbed bros

Attached: 1565634821648.png (670x578, 345K)

If we don't get DLC we're definitely getting a sequel at least. The Return ending sets up for a future instalment, and the game sold well as well as being reviewed well.

i bought a new PC recently and caught up so far on almost every game i wanted including dark souls 3, but this game just looks like a pain in the ass even as a souls veteran who has done sl1 runs etc.

someone explain this to me

The game isn’t for bitches like Soulsbabs that’s for sure.

it's really not that difficult
i never did a challenge run in any souls and i managed to finish the game just fine
there's only 3 or 4 bosses that are genuinely difficult and 2 of them are optional

agreed, i finished it with all the endings and i suck at dark souls games

sekiro is B team trash. ill give you it was better than ds2 but after the hype its medicore souls experience at best.

seethe more

Every souls game has had low replayability unless you just wanted to make a build for PvP minus 2, which changed shit up.

Ashina Cross for styling on niggers
High Monk for functionality+swagflips

>High Monk

I was so hyped to finally unlock that move and then when I did it turned out to be shit. It just takes the Senpou Leaping Kicks and adds more moves to it. That would be good if they comboed but almost every single enemy you'd want to use it on just starts blocking before you even get to the new hits High Monk adds. Better off just sticking with its lesser version and spending the points elsewhere.

i dont have yellow fever but goddamn i want to put a baby inside this woman

I hope the next game features Tanuki's

Attached: tanuki.jpg (800x587, 149K)

>DLC when?
Hopefully never imagine wanting dlc what’s wrong with you?

Obviously the journey to the west ending

High Monk is the best skill in the game. It replaces the goomba jump counter and before the patch it could one-shot most bosses. Personally I prefer the empowered mortal draw. it takes skill to use, but its fantastic.

Monkey Business Round 3
The Quad Force when

Attached: Sekiro Ape PEPE.jpg (559x1078, 341K)

I found myself using prosthetic tools less and less since attacking or deflecting was just too good
I also didnt like how they locked all these moves behind "levels" , should have been locked by something else

How much content is in this game? Looking at threads and not having started playing it yet (have beaten every other soulslike game except demons souls) i could've believed there was DLC but instead if just looks like a very large game, which is odd because the filesize is only 16gb

I've had a lot more fun replaying Sekiro than Dark Souls. In Sekiro, you have multiple options to make the game directly harder and that's pretty fun.

The game isn't full of bloatware like most games now. The scenery is gorgeous and the gameplay is fluid. The game is brilliantely made and has loads of content.

>In Sekiro, you have multiple options to make the game directly harder and that's pretty fun.
Unlike the other games in which you literally have plenty of build varieties and weapons/magic....

Content is decent but not great. There's a lot of asset reuse.

Exorcism Strikes are the pro runner’s choice of combat art these days because it lets you dominate the momentum of the fight continuously if you know how to use it right.

But the bosses are the most fun part of the game desu. Where are you right now? Which boss?

Tomorrow.

Finally killed Genichiro after like 50 attempts. Very excited to see what sort of weird shit this game has in store

Attached: 02B385CB-46E4-4D36-AD23-BF715645A2B6.gif (320x193, 449K)

currently doing my 2nd run
going for the shura ending without kuro's charm and the emma/isshin fight is fucking me up
I did beat guardian ape on my 1st try though which is nice

never

>Begging for fucking DLC
This is what gamers have been reduced to in 2019... sad.

Congrats bro.

The trick I learned for Isshin Ashina is to not attack with my sword when he’s standing idle, because he’s actually baiting you to swing so he can dodge it and punish you. The trick is to throw a shuriken at him then attack, to mitigate that dodge move. Outside of that just be sure you avoid his One Mind move and not to step in the fire and not to get grabbed by his Senpou Monk judo flips. The rest is very similar to SS Isshin’s sword style.

Attached: 16ADA963-0026-43DE-8B87-9CEC2F0CF2A2.jpg (1212x682, 73K)

I think you can parry his bait attack after one swing though. He's just using this to punish you if you hit R1 too often.

It’s difficult to properly deflect/parry his punish because it happens very quickly. It’s possible, but it’s much easier and better for your momentum if you go with the shuriken first strategy. Also make sure you have living force so you can follow up your shuriken with a quick sword lunge.

New fag

Huh? The headless phase is easier than the first phase because the boss is more Sekirolike instead of Dark Souls like. Anyways there's not a cheese but if you parry enough of his swings he gets up and hits you with a heavy swing by falling on you, parry this perfectly and he's stunned for a while so you can get in a few hits. If you want to make it easier use the standard spear and ram it into his head and hit R2 again to pull the small enemy in there to you.

It’s cancels out a lot of enemy animations and generally combos well with your swings so you can maintain a constant offence without having to wait and deflect some of your opponent’s counters.

There’s lots of videos of people using it. Here’s one example of its usefulness:

posture and health have pretty much the same strategy all the time. deflect whenever you can and attack whenever you can't.
>Is it worth it to deflect the spin to win move?
yes
>The last hit always knocks me too far back to retaliate
still better than missing out on the massive posture damage
>easier than o'rinn
she's braindead easy. just deflect her hits and at the end of her combos use a jumping ichimonji double to restore posture

No headless the ghost

shut up nigger

Oh I thought you meant the headless phase of the ape. I mean all you can do is parry perfectly all the time. use the pacifying agent and divine confetti and when he vanishes he will always show up behind you so turn around and start swinging to avoid his grab. I think the shield tool makes them easier too.

Use purple gourds or pacifying agents to mitigate terror, use divine confetti and the blue flame vent (combined with living force) to boos your attack, and use the purple umbrella to mitigate terror while also easily blocking its swings in times of trouble

I didn’t know this until NG+3 but you can explore Ashina and Ashina outskirts at night pre-interior ministry assault if you defeat Owl2 but don’t defeat Divine Dragon yet.

Hello and welcome to Yea Forums's video game board! It looks like you are trying to use a tripcode, would you like some help?
You don't seem to be a developer, video game journalist, or some other kind of industry professional - nor do you seem to be contributing to a Yea Forums/video game-based project (including drawfaggotry or dumping a series of images) so it would seem that trying to establish an identity here is meaningless for you. In fact, your identity doesn't seem at all to be noteworthy. Your identity doesn't seem at all pertinent to the discussion of video games.
One of the primary appeals of Yea Forums is its "Anonymous"-based posting. It's part of why Yea Forums has been popular all these years. Since you are posting with a tripcode while lacking inherent noteworthiness, you are, in fact, actively fighting against what makes Yea Forums special and remarkable.
Now, you might think something along the lines of "having a tripcode makes me think about how my posts will reflect on me, thus making my quality of posting better" and while this is true on other websites, it is widely held on Yea Forums that most users wish to ignore a person's identity (unless noteworthy) and instead judge on an individual post. There are many other websites that would probably fit you. Perhaps you should try going to reddit, neogaf, or 9gag to establish your identity instead of using a tripcode here.

apologies sensei

Are there more ghosts running around at night? I always go straight to the dragon if I can because the fight is so great.
Also, the purple samurai at the well, if you run past him, proceed to Mibu village, kill O'rin and then go back to him he will turn hostile and try to murder you.

No, but if you go to the hidden forest early in the game when it’s morning you actually skip the ghosts because they only appear later in the day. Also that purple ninja becomes hostile anyway if you talk to him. He’s just playing a ruse by pretending he doesn’t know you.

The other user was referring to Gonzaemon not the lone shadow at the bottom

>finally got around to trying that Boss Rush mod
>suddenly Butterfly starts kicking my ass
I have no idea how I beat her four times. She just calls her ghost niggas and recovers her posture completely

I'm refering to the Samurao, Jinzaemon or whatever his name is. You can't proceed to Mibu Village without killing the lone shadow dude.

Start attacking her right after she spawns in her second phase, that way she doesn´t call the ghosts

What? Jinzaemom shows up in Mibu Village if you ignore him and after you kill O’Rin he thanks you and gives you Jinza’s Jizo Statue which is basically a slightly different looming Bundled Jizo Statue. Jinzaemon was never hostile to me.

Also you can technically get to Mibu Village without fighting the purple ninja by going through the abandoned dungeon and killing the Shichimen Warrior and then going to the bottomless pit through there.

reply to this post if you have small pp.

No, Jinzaemon does not show up in Mibu Village if you ignore him at the well. Do not talk to the dude, proceed to Mibu village, kill O'rin, return to the well and he will go hostile if you talk to him. Had it happen to me in one of my runs.

Any owl (father) guide? How do you goomba stomp his sweep? Can you mikiri counter his sparta kick?

Well he does show up in Mibu Village if you do talk to him. I guess he only turns hostile if you don’t talk to him and do that. Cool!

Also fun fact, if you look at the item description for Jinza’s Jizo Statue, it slightly implies Lord Sakuza (and maybe even O’Rin) was Jinzaemon’s parent.

>Any owl (father) guide?
Just keep attacking him, unironically. He becomes much easier to deal with than regular Owl once you get his patterns down.

>how do you goomba stomp his sweep
Just jump and jump again when you’re over his head. There’s nothing unique about doing it to him over anyone else.

>can you mikiri counter his spartan kick
Not sure which move that is but you can only mikiri counter his sword jabs (which also must always be accompanied by the red kanji symbol).

Otherwise the trick to Owl was to maintain a continuous attack and to circle to his back as much as possible to widdle down his health. I liked stepping back a lot to bait him into doing that aerial flip attack as it’s easily dodgable and punishable.

What the fuck even is the point of Mibu Village? The enemies are all slow as shit and will never catch up to you if you just run. The only way to actually die to them is to get grabbified by thehands that come out of the ground, so you may as well just skip the whole level.

Another thing I should mention is that Owl 2 likes to move around a lot and that’s one of his strengths, but if you manage to corner him, he has less room to dodge and you can deflect and punish him very quickly that way. Just be sure to avoid the firecrackers since that will be his main tactic to try to escape.

They’re good for farming Sen and some XP in the early game.

i never said he was hard user.

GOTTEM

it must have been for a casual zoomer like you since it's the first miniboss that came to mind

What's with all Genichiro memeing? I beat him on my second try, literally every other boss gave me more trouble

Most people aren’t prepared for three phases and also Genichiro has some powerful unexpected attacks like the bow or his spin combo which can kill you easily if you’re not prepared for them. Otherwise he is relatively easy. Just intimidating when you first start off.

Like I said I just got genichiro up in ashina castle. I'm currently stuck on the corrupted monk phantom. Haven't found the ape fight yet, but story wise I'm supposed to look for the mortal blade and a white flower I think.

what's the deal the guy posting phonescreen of the game?

don't worry the last area that you will discover is the best and most beautiful of them all

There is no deal. You either accept it or you get mad about it.

it's just for lore reasons, 2 nobles (1 of them has fully transformed into a fish guy) from the fountainhead palace trapped the entire village in a mist, and the villagers all became zombies because they wanted to drunk the fountainhead waters

Not my fault you look like a fag who doesn't know how to play videogames

Why did Genichiro want the divine heritage if he already had immortality?

>layers
if one fails you have the other
that and the water lore
