Will another game manage to become so disappointing to the point where it makes half of its fans collectively go insane?
Will another game manage to become so disappointing to the point where it makes half of its fans collectively go insane?
The only insane fans are those creppy Quiet cultists virgins.
This one hit harder for me.
It's fucking insane how far a fraction of the fanbase has gone
I've seen someone stretch so fucking far to say
'PT DEMO IS PT
DEATH STRANDING IS DS
FLIP DS TO SD
PTSD
SNAKE HAS PTSD, DEATH STRANDING IS PT AND MGSV 2"
Like oh my god
And that was just one of his huge list of insane connections. It's depressing to watch. MGSV is a finished game, just cause it had a few missions they didn't make doesn't change the fact the game was complete, and the story ended in a perfectly normal way. The chapter 3 peace titlecard started this mess, and it was just that, a titlecard intended if disarmament happened. A little cutscene easter egg. Christ.
Now this is a game that I believe the "conspiracies" of, to a point. It's clear they considered a third game. Zygarde's story was pushed to sun and moon, eternal floette never happened, a whole region of kalos was teased and cut, etc.. Plus they wanted to get to Sun and Moon for the anniversary. That was the turning point of shit for GF
>PT DEMO IS PT
>DEATH STRANDING IS DS
>FLIP DS TO SD
>PTSD
>SNAKE HAS PTSD, DEATH STRANDING IS PT AND MGSV 2"
That's probably only Caramel who thinks that. That guy is a lost cause.
Is that who's been filling Yea Forums with all the mgsv stuff lately? I don't keep up with this shit, and didn't see a name tag. What a nightmare.
I am certain Konami's gonna do stuff with MGS, maybe even MGS V since it's their biggest MGS game basically, but nobody could guess what it's gonna be.
>MGSV is a finished game
Bruh r u meming right now?
>Humongous campaign
>Two big chapters, the second of which has optional content that is tougher variations of the first halfs missions
>Finale is satisfying and ties things up fine
>Fans seethe because "THAT'S NOT ENOUGH!"
Dude
>game is so good it literally made players go insane
Not sure I see the reason for your infantile and childish Yea Forumsirgin rage.
WHY WASNT MGSV EXACTLY WHAT I IMAGINED IT TO BE WHYYY REEE
BAWWWWWW WAHHHHHHHH
>main villain dies
>half the plot points randomly trigger with no warning
>once you are deemed worthy you get a completely out of the blue final mission where you learn you weren't Big Boss
>you get a bunch of tapes that may as well be a podcast explaining the plot to you
>Eli took the giant robot and left
MGSV feels like a game that had some solid footing, but became a loose series of notes midway through. The fact that the game puts major plot reveals behind optional audio tapes that you get for no real reason is fucking retarded.
Nothing feels connected, nothing feels satisfying, and some stuff isn't even tied up, like the Eli stuff.
Caramel has been posting that shit since the day MGSV came out. He's been saying that DS is PS for 3 years, and he thought that Metal Gear Survive was a ruse.
Yeah guess I wouldn't have noticed cause I only played MGS a month ago for the first time
But it was finished clearly. How else would they have done it? They finished up pretty much all the story besides Eli. They rushed it at the end, that's a problem of pacing, not finishing the development.
We were always insane. This game changed nothing.
>The chapter 3 peace titlecard started this mess, and it was just that, a titlecard intended if disarmament happened.
Disarmament happened and no Chapter 3 title card appeared. From my understand, the title card was leftover from an early version of the story where the Paz sub-plot was the last thing you did in the game.
>main villain dies
Same as Peace Walker
>you get a bunch of tapes that may as well be a podcast explaining the plot to you
That was a deliberate design choice if you read interviews prior to the release of the game.
>Eli took the giant robot and left
That sucks and I would've preferred if KOTF was in the game or at least released as DLC, but at least they were nice enough to release a video of the unfinished cutscenes.
>They finished up pretty much all the story besides Eli. They rushed it at the end, that's a problem of pacing, not finishing the development.
There's only two options here when you make that statement. Either you acknowledge Kojima as a hack who couldn't even direct without immense help from others (since this game was basically all directed by him, unlike most past games), or you acknowledge the game isn't finished.
It's finished in a technical sense. It has a beginning and an ending, but the points that lead from one to the other aren't connected. The ending has no connection to anything that came before, it just exists. The Truth Tapes that come with it exist just to tie up loose ends that the game never actually got around to tying, and these tapes were put in the fucking trailers as well.
>Same as Peace Walker
I forgot to finish that statement. What I meant was that the main villain dies prematurely. He dies, in a technical sense, midway through the game.
>That was a deliberate design choice if you read interviews prior to the release of the game.
It's not good storytelling to have hours of exposition in place of actual storytelling.
Almost all of the audio tapes are characters talking at you, just expositing information that the game couldn't be bothered to explain in a natural way. This is a terrible design decision.
I'm convinced that the Quiet fags are also NuClaire fags
>Finale is satisfying and ties things up fine
how is the tape exposition any different from the equally stupid amount of cutscene and codec exposition in previous games? it's just optional now and audio only instead of talking heads or FMV footage. I love Metal Gear but I swear you dipshits overrate the fuck out of the previous games' stories and are only so hard on V bevause it doesn't force upon you the same amount of retarded longwinded spoonfeeding you're used to
>how is the tape exposition any different from the equally stupid amount of cutscene and codec exposition in previous games?
Because the codecs still have characters talking in the moment, reacting to current happenings in the story, can be the groundwork for grand reveals while still not taking you out of the story.
They're basically low budget cutscenes.
Audio tapes are just the characters talking AT the main character, not WITH the main character. They also don't allow anybody to react to the big reveals. Man, what does Kaz think about any of the Truth Tapes that could potentially drastically change his current views? Nobody knows.
we hear kaz's reaction at the end you tard
Yeah, like 2 minutes in a post-credits scene that is literally just there to explain why John was trained by Kaz.
>John
christ
FUCK
I MEANT TO SAY DAVID
FUCK ME THEY LOOK BLOODY IDENTICAL
