It won't be terrible, but I doubt it'll meet your expectations unless they're low to begin with. Me, I just want an updated Warband, which I'll probably end up getting. Then it's 1-2 years for good mods to crop up.

For me personally, I find realistic medieval settings borin (although I enjoy the gameplay). But with Bannerlord's quality graphics and vast modability I'm hoping it's the new Mecca for user made content like Skyrim used to be because I KNOW Behtesda is going to fuck up modding for TES6.
