Hey anonymous, I work at Konami and have been here for a long time. You're better off playing the game rather than wait for a sequel or reboot. The board and management don't want to bring back any IP unless it's MGS. Kojima is mostly to blame for that though.

Why did we get a bunch of Frogger remakes/sequels in the late 90s and early 00's? The arcade game is from the early 80s, then nothing until late 90s.

We actually had a lot of demand for frogger and the Hudson team as well as the goemon team, at the time, offered to revive him with a consistent face but nobody up listened. As you see, everyone ended up getting a reboot and a remake. Truth is no one at the company gives a shit.
