While NV is my favorite game of all time, I’ve played it to death (modded and vanilla) and I’ve done everything theres to do. I wish I could wipe my memory of this game and start over.

user, stop using Stutter Remover. The mod itself was poorly put together in the first place.

Go use Tick Fix, and look up the Viva New Vegas guide while you're at it so you can get NV as stable as can be. Have a save going over 20 hours without 1 single crash so far.

To be honest i'd switch in Lucky for Mysterious Magnum. A crit build goes poorly with it (1x multiplier compared to Lucky's massive 2.5x) and the Hand Loader Ammo for .357 is quite good (small DT pierce, damage boost, and even tightens the spread). Not to mention its much easier to source .357.

Anyone else excited for Fallout 4 New Vegas where they have NCR Ranger armor that isn't complete dogshit???

Recently installed even more mods to FONV, and I'm really trying to balanve out difficulty and economy. I'm having some good progress with figuring this shit out. I'm considering raising the difficulty to its very highest.

Veteran Ranger armor is dumb. You'd overheat quickly under the Mojave sun in it and you can't aim through a sight when you're wearing a gas mask, at least not effectively. Leather restricts your movements significantly too. Legion barely wears anything and that is pure genius.

What I don't get, even though I don't think I'd ever side with them, is that they didnt even make siding with the White Legs an option. As much as I love HHs setting and the Survivalist's story, HH felt half baked, unlike the rest of them. Maybe not half baked, but 3/4ths.

Legion armor is nice but like Ranger armor its a faction disguise which fucks with your rep

Heavy weapons guy with the Automatic Rifle. It mows stuff down real good, and the low accuracy just forces you to play aggressive instead of sniping everything from a mile away.
If you're *really* attached to stealth crits, La Longue Carabine goes great with cowboy builds and makes sniping fun.

||I tried a new playthrough as a brotherhood-bound gunslinging gambler about 6 months ago and rushed to New Vegas as soon as i could to gamble my life away, and then immediately reset once I actually got there because I was too taken aback that Mr. House and Benny talked to me as if I'd actually done anything||

I keep meaning to replay 3 or NV, have yet to actually play 4 since I'm a cheapass who's still waiting for a decent GOTY sale price.
Not sure which way to swing with the new content mods: Fallout Who Vegas, or see if any of the New Land mods like Brazil or Atlanta have been finished by now.

Can we all agree that Jury Rigging is an essential 11/10 perk regardless of what kind of character you're playing?
Nothing beats being able to repair a brush gun with a varmint rifle, or repairing a plasma caster with a flamer.

NMA is like the codex, only good for bitching.

Repairing PA with metal armor makes it worth by that repair combo alone. Repairing high tier weapons with common loot makes it one of the best non-combat perks there are, pretty much a must have.

You can get neutral ranger armor in the Lonesome Road dlc. It's called 'riot armor' and it's basically a reskin of ranger combat armor for people who want to wear it but don't want to be mistaken for NCR.

What are some working mods that scale up anyone wearing power armor while also having altered stats?

I would always rather just make loads of weapon repair kits and save the spot for a more combat related perk.

WRKs are nice and all, but there is no equivalent for repairing armor/clothing.
Jury Rigging works on both weapons and armor.
If you chose not get the perk then good luck repairing your power armor without coughing up shitloads of caps or farming the rare BoS patrols every now and then.

Jury rigging is required for any expensive GRA weapon. You can only repair Medicine stick with weapon repair kits otherwise.

And the worst part is that the one skill that's supposed to get you better deals barely has an impact on these kinds of transactions.
Barter is the most flaccid and useless skill in a game where merchants are Gamestop-tier in terms of buying from you and selling things back.

Just get the Alternative Repair mod. Lets you buy/make parts for weapon classes that function as dummy Jury rigging 0 durability items. Even for armor.

Which repair vendor did you do it at? They each have a skill which is visible to you.

Finally got around to playing fallout 4. Is it me or is the level scaling in this game fucking retarded? I've been 3 hours in the game and I can 1 shot everything with a hunting rifle from afar, which is a complete juxtaposition to an hour beforehand where everything was destroying me

It’s been a long time since I played it, but I remember the opposite problem. All enemies became massive bullet sponges.

I will never understand why bethesda insists on putting level-scaling in every single thing outside of the main quests.
Even Witcher 3 had giant blaring neon signs for their main quests telling the player that you have to be a specific level before even attempting a main quest otherwise a normal bandit will shrek you because reasons.

Are you playing on very hard? And I think the enemy level is map zone dependent i.e in the nord eastern part of the map enemies cap out at like level 12 on average, Deathclaws at 22 and get stronger the more south you go
