>DLC is better than the main game
Also Prey thread
DLC is better than the main game
it's not better, I'm sick of roguelites just give me normal maps goddamn it
I wish Prey was scary. It would have been perfect then.
I agree, but the last character you play as has broken mechanics
the typhon become friendly to you, except mimics, they say friendly but still attack you, and if you kill them, you die
other than that, that ending with the main character was unexpected and well deserved
game should have allowed you to play after the end, and let you try to get a perfect run where all characters have ended at their correct places in a single cycle of the program
>>DLC is better than the main game
this is the one.
Why should I play this game? I know very little about it. I like Deus Ex, Bioshock and Metroid. Is it like any of those?
Really? I was pretty disappointed with the main game and never touched the DLC.
All the more upsetting when everything they've made since 3 has been shit.
No it's not.
>new weapons are not backported back into the main game
>that absolutely atrocious el goblino character art
maybe Farcry was always shit
boring FPS guns + UbiTowers busywork
4 is better than 3.
It's pretty close to Deus Ex and System Shock 2. Fantastic game.
DmC
Criminal past is great. The other two DLCs are meh but that one feels like its own fleshed out game.
It's nowhere close those games, don't you dare to joke around user. Especially not with those limited build options and piss poor arsenal. It's more streamlined and casualized than a fucking bioshock.
>get to Deep Storage
>out of pistol rounds/shotgun shells/Q-Beam on its last battery
>Phantoms fuck me up big time
Should I just start over and select normal difficulty?
you know you can just 3d print more ammo right?
I'm out of materials too.
You'd be right to call it more streamlined compared to DX and SS2, but BioShock is pretty simplified compared to all of those games.
Far Cry 1 and 2 are actually fantastic games nerd.
No recycler charges? Either to get materials or to damage the phantoms?
maybe, since those 2 were before the UbiShit towers
This might be true but you have 0 reasons to buy it if you already played 3.
Ubisoft get's 1% better with each game, but at the end of the day you need one game for each franchise they make and you're good for 10 years.
The answer to the question "Which game of this ubisoft franchise should i start with?" is always "play the latest one and only the latest one"
>It's more streamlined and casualized than a fucking bioshock.
Have you played the fucking thing?
I haven't used any of the grenades I got yet. Are they really useful? In any case, I'm locked in Deep Storage by Alex, so can't go back to any section of the station.
Compared to Prey it still has at least twice the amount of options on top of actual trait system instead of simplistic passives you can just grab all at once, actually unique final weapon upgrades, more utility when it comes to using plasmids (like being able to freeze things before hacking them for easier hacking), etc.
The only thing Prey really has over it is the gloo gun.
Mooncrash was great but the timer fucked it up big time. I don’t mind increasing enemy damage over time but if it kicks you right out you don’t really have the time to truly explore the map
>dude just make time loops
I literally never found a fabrication plan for them in my entire second playthrough
It still feels like it was cut a bit short. I'm not sure if I'm misremembering, but I thought I got more longevity out of Missing Link.
MD is actually really good if you play the side quests. If that's still not doing it for you then maybe skip Criminal Past, it introduces some pretty polarising elements.
I think it was fine being eerie instead of plain scary. The couple jump scares were enough.
>grab a bunch of furniture and other items and make a pile
>throw a recycler charge at it
>collect free shit
I don't remember what deep storage was like though so that might not be an option
Nigga how, i played hard on my first run and i ended the game with 100+ of each resource
Phantoms are piss easy to deal with 1 on 1, you simply stunlock them with the wrench. Wait till you'll find yourself in the lobby with 2 technofaggots and a teletwat
Hold up, you can recycle the entire environment? Well shit, I had no idea, I thought it only worked on enemies. I'll try that next time I boot up the game, thanks.
I like mooncrash quite a bit but it is in no way better than the main game.
Any object you can pick up and move or throw, you can recycle
Morgan Yu is pretty handsome.
EMP nades are god tier against group of operators, especially after the (actual spoiler) station gets Dahled and you're flooded with military operators.
Bait nades let you skip past big bad boys untill you replenish your ammo
Nullwave nades make figthing shock and fire phantoms much less of a pain in the ass
Recycling nades are for when you're dry on materials, you simply make a stockpile of chair you're good
A direct hit makes the granade explode immediatly, you can make traps by sticking them on floors and walls
imagine gloo cannon but with an upgrade that makes the gloo flammable
Excellent game, the weapons were designed well and the crafting system should be replicated more, especially how you use 3D printers and extraction machines.
>mfw I wasn't actually playing a chink throughout the game
Literally 10/10
I don't care for jump scares, just atmosphere building. My main problem is that the black spaghetti monsters are not scary at all. The only scary thing was the Nighmare before you know where it is.
The spooky atmosphere comes from knowing that you are a squishy under-equipped human in a dead space station with no knowledge of what may be lurking in the next room or when a mug or a chair may morph into a black goo spider, I think it works pretty well
It stops being scary when you start acquiring and upgrading equipment and climbing up the food chain, and it gets really old once you reach the point where the game has no new enemies to throw at you, what you've seen is everything you'll see
what would you use to put out fires then
gloo but it's water balloons
