Lack of importance + inability to turn into an echo. Mario has a lot of characters missing that actually matter to the universe, and Waluigi doesn’t matter at all in the Wario universe, he doesn’t even appear in the games. He’s just a goofy character who plays tennis. At this point Nintendo will probably make Sakurai add Waluigi into Smash 6

Probably. My guess for the next smash game is that it's a port and characters that would be easy to add like Isaac, Waluigi, Rex, and Springman would get in. Hopefully my boy Chibi-robo gets in because his series needs more love. Same with Starfy but I think he would stay an assist trophy.

Waluigi is a second-stringer’s second-stringer, so inconsequential that he’s never made it out of Spin-off Hell.
Although I did have this idea where he buys a castle for cheap, but finds out it’s in a really shitty area with roving gangs of bandits. He has to set up a bunch of booby traps so the thieves won't make off with his stuff. Also, he gets a new outfit with a stovepipe hat, a bow tie, and other fancy duds.
