poland adopted western values with its adoption of christianity, which became the dominant religion by the 13th century and either superseded or fused with old culture and beliefs to create a western-centric society. i wouldn't consider pre-christcuck slav lands to be "western" by any stretch though. if the witcher is based on pre-christian era slavic folklore then it's basically reverse-metal wolf chaos - a western developer making a game set in a non-western setting. everyone knows the witcher is a jrpg anyway so all of this is irrelevant.
