you get a missable choice that unlocks edel's route, and if you do activate it you get a second choice after the chapter 11 fight that solidifies going edel/church. if you missed that first choice then you're stuck with church from the get go. iirc it's like "kill edelgard" vs "..." while doing that missable choice changes "..." to "protect edelgard"

It takes patience, I was going to Merc, fortress, assassin, priest my Bernie but she had good speed and Res so I just focused on horsery early for the free bonus movement at a+.

Mastering class skills takes a bit of patience, the longest ones are,warrior wrath, brigand atk bonus when attacking and armored blow for rising defences when attacking, Wyvern Def down, Astra, Assassinate, Aegis and Pavise which are the strongest for physical units Assassinate Pavise and Aegis all activate from dexterity and kinda break the game as dexterity not only determines crit chance but triggers the ability to one shoot with assassinate, reduce bow/mag with aegis or reduce sword/lance/axe/fist with pavise.

Mages have some perks, there is renewal fiendish blow and memes with miracle if anything most Mages benefit from cavalry movement + heavy armor for a quick fortress certification bonus and alert stance to semi dodge tank.

There is nothing wrong with c swords casters especially dancer as levin+ is fucking sweet if you have sword avoidance.

This is why support conversations are not a good replacement for actual character development throughout the narrative. You can never learn anything too interesting about a character or let them have a big moment of personal growth in a support conversation because after the conversation ends, they go back to acting the same as always because they have to in case someone else didn't see that conversation. So many of the supports seemed to be like

Edelgard's actions aren't "mistakes", in that she takes them deliberately in pursuit of her goals. After the war is won, Edelgard doesn't have mistakes to regret, since everything she did has served to fulfill her ambitions, despite the suffering caused.
