Up there, perhaps, but he still requires his fists to alter reality, any omnipotent being who does not require that is stronger if only because they should be efficient. Also if he can truly warp reality, why not remove that weakness? It implies that he can't.

Because while storyline writing might have issues, especially stemming from the old "Araki forgot" problem, the characters are always engaging and charismatic, and the action is top-shelf. Strong character design also helps, and even when there's weaker character design it's assuaged by the variety of weird and fascinating quirks that characters have.

The writing may be shit but the out there ideas that Araki comes up with for stands and how they can actually be OP is really entertaining,

They choose Cap Canaveral for multiple reasons, one being flat ground, the other is that the Earth is not a sphere, since it spins on itself the Earth is larger at the equator so you're way further from the center of earth in the equator than on the poles. Last thing, the equator is where the Earth rotate the fastest so it's a little speed boost that helps using less fuel.

The green baby is what the world became once it got the 36 sinner souls. Dio says in his journal that he has to abandon the world during this phase, it's in part 6.

The writing is largely fine, it's just not especially deep as far as plots go. The character writing is mostly great. I think people give a pass to the fights and abilities being largely nonsensical because the action is good enough to justify stands and ripple being inconsistent very frequently.

Also the closest thing you can call an AU version of Jotaro is either Josefumi or Kira in part 8 and they both die, meaning unless Gappy turns out to be Irene’s dad, she can’t exist in this universe, and even that doesn’t add up since SO and Jojolion take place in the same year of 2011, so unless Gappy can just materialize a 19 year old girl, she would have no father to speak of and wouldn’t be in Florida with Emporio. How gory is jojo anyway? I've seen something tame like getting severed in half, cutting off limbs and heads. And then I've heard the battle puzzles become similar to Saw where characters have to mutilate themselves into a fucking horror to win. turns out that The World Over Heaven is really convoluted to use and not that powerful despite all the hype Dio's diary and Part 6 gives him.
First of all besides being limited to things he can punch, reality warping runs on soul juice and thus can't quite be used 24/7, once he runs out he has to go and recharge before he can warp it again.
Plus two massive asspulls, one using og DIO's bracelets to blow up Dio squared's fists so he can't rewrite reality and the second one literally being part 3's finale in that Star Platinum is the same kind of stand that The World and can rewrite reality too. Also he literally kills DIO the same way he killed the og DIO frame by frame.
