A New Day set up a load of stuff for a sequel and said "A New Game Begins" with the S looking like a 2 and the devs joked about all the teasing they've been doing. It all but confirmed a sequel.

If they do make one, I hope they make a battle system that takes full advantage of the Switch hardware instead of just copying and pasting the DS gameplay on single screen.

Puck power 3 is one of the strongest abilities on the game and lavender lotus is one of the cheapest items for the brand. It also has the strongest branded variant of aqua core and psychokinesis S

Good luck, user. Some of the enemies and bosses don’t fuck around on Ultimate, especially if you bring them into a chain.

Don’t forget about Her Royal Highness. With that equipped, you can combo enemies with the right pins for days on end.

Oh believe me, I’m well aware. Made the mistake of chaining Kitaniji and Shiki in order to get one of the Darklit Planet pins and needless to say, I got wiped out in seconds.

Taboo Sho is painful in particular considering how he’ll teleport the second you touch him with your stylus. Pretty much had to rely on Beat in order to get some consistent damage.

Oh, and Spark Core. You can pretty much infinitely juggle Noise and bosses with that pin equipped.

TWEWY’s postgame was fucking great. It felt like the devs tried to pack in as much content as they possibly could into that tiny DS cartridge and made it fun as hell to boot. The boss rush in Another Day is one of my faves in particular.

That shit was intense. Uzuki and Kariya in a chain battle is already difficult enough, but having to fight Konishi, Shades, and his Noise form after that in a row? That was just nuts.

When I first played the game, I remember hating how Beat played and wanting Joshua and Shiki back, but when I played it again, I found myself actually warming up to his playstyle.

Beat can feel overwhelming at first but once you really get used to it and mess around with his combo panels and map, you can set up some pretty sick Fusion combos and get the best use out of him.

I just played through the game for the first time recently, the switch version wasnt that bad to play in handheld mode. I got used to it pretty fast.
The black hole pin is just broken though, right? I used it in combo with one or two of the bullet shooting pins and destroyed most enemies effortlessly. It also charged the link attacks really fast.

As someone that beat TWEWY emulated three times and finally got a DS just to replay that shit again. Kill yourself or get good. The only gripe you'll have emulating is drawing circles. Everything else is exactly the same with the mouse.

Sweeper is a pretty great pin though it was offset with the fact that Neku only had a few attacks to use in tandem with it and that it was Reaper class, though the partner pin in the ports seem to work around that.

I tried all sorts of settings but it felt extremely uncomfortable no matter what I did. Constantly swiping the mouse to use the shockwave pin just did not feel good.

Hell I didn't even read it, I just clicked the link and almost jizzed my pants when I saw the background and heard the remix of calling. Lord the amount of hype leading up to it and the crushing disappointment when someone leaked it a couple days ahead of time.

The only one that surpassed that in terms of unfulfilled hype is ZTD. We were like kids on christmas and then square spit in our faces. Not just once, but twice.

I’m surprised that the game is even as well-loved as it is by Yea Forums, considering how it looked to be on the surface the culmination of everything wrong with Squeenix.

I love TWEWY and all buy they've been teasing us for years. Rebuying TWEWY again won't make them make a sequel, it will just let them know that they can keep rereleasing port and port with a bit of sequel bait each time.

It was one of the few Squeenix games during that time to not suck and actually had an engaging gameplay loop. Combine that with killer art direction, great music, several QoL features, a likable cast, and an overall unique experience and it’s not hard to see why it’s so well-liked.

FF15 was a whole saga of fuckups. It's surprising how little they merchandised Nier Automata, too. It was clear in the runup to release they could've shifted boatloads of anything with 2B's face on it, but they waited like a year before even announcing one fig other than the cheap pack-in one. They're a big multimedia conglomerate with hands in a lot of pies, you'd think they'd have all this shit more-or-less down.

FF15 was a huge mess in particular. I’ve played plenty of ARPGs and action games and XV was just fucking dull.

It being bad is barely even relevant in terms of mismanagement. Remember how it was announced before 13 was out? The dev cycle was long and fucked even before shit like chopping bits out of the game and turning parts into shitty OVAs.

I’ve said it before but it’s honestly hilarious how TWEWY, a DS game, has more depth to its combat than an AAA project like FFXV.

The Fabula Nova Crystallis project was a huge mess in hindsight for Square. They probably would’ve been better off not ever announcing it.

That’s because you have to press more than one buttons to win in TWEWY. That, and you actually had a limit on how many healing items you were allowed to chug down. Oh, and the game didn’t pause whenever you used one.

Kind of surprised that this song never really played in the ports and had to be bought in-game.

Reminder that people waited over 10 years for this.

Entanglement was my favourite and most used charm. It was so effective I never understood why no one ever talked about it when discussing pin setups during the game's prime.

I would be cool with it if they were to get a studio that would be able to accurately translate the game’s art into a traditional animation format.
