VTMB and Elder Scrolls do em well
Elder Scrolls has the problem in how the lore describes them and how the games implement them. Morrowind and the earlier games tried to do it well, but with Oblivion and Skyrim they were really streamlined out and made boring, IMO.
You seriously need to stop posting pictures of my wife with my/her permission.
I mate pressed your wife last night.
I know you're lying. She doesn't even have any legs.
She does when I'm around.
Well I bond burgered your sister.
How did you get that picture of me that that dudes wife? Fuckin ho swore she was gonna delete that shit.
warhammer fantasy (and by extension total war: warhammer) have the best vampires. castlevania and lords of shadow also do pretty good jobs, but both suffer from not actually having a lot of ancient vampires
Is she from the main game or dlc? I haven't seen her yet.
Also this
DLC, Crimson Court.
How do you feel about Dragon's Crown vampires?
Every single thing about Dragon's Crown was fucking great.
>they were being duplicitous! It was all a ruse!
Darkest Dungeon vampires are so cool. There are any bug themed versions of classical monsters.
Also, even though I don't find them the most aesthetic, I really like the way the CV vampires drain blood.
Legacy of Kain, no contest.
*there aren't many
VTMB and Legacy of Kain are my favorites but I also really like the Cainhurst stuff in BB even if there isn't much of it.
I prefer vampires that are biological to ones that are mystical.
When a mystical vampire thing gets all up its own ass about its lore it always comes off super cringey to me. When bilogical ones do it it seems less cringey because it comes off to me as more an exploration on the possibilities of biology in a nearly human species.
This is good though as far as mystical goes. Then again from has never been particularly insistent about their lore. Its always bits and pieces you gotta put together yourself or listen to some fag on u2b do it for ya.
ROAD ROLLER DA
WRRRRRRRRRYYYYYYY
Perfect like everything about that game.
I personaly always loved hemomancy as a concept but often enough its never explored as a whole or they are magic in other ways.
Manipulation over life essence and its reliance always felt to me like they should be the core tennets, be it charming people, manipulating them, but often they never seem to so it in interesting ways, they just use a charm spell instead of being naturaly charming, they tend to just succ people into being ghouls instead of having actually manipulated people and going back to reliance and manipulation, for creatures who depend so much on blood, rarely do they seem to manipulate it in interesting ways when magical.
VTMB had it well with bloodmancers but it never quite scratches the itch. Secrecy and manipulation are often handwaved rather than indepth, and thats just sad. Also killing people by blasting em with blood or making them ticking blood bombs is too damn fun to never be done.
bump
*snorts*
>tfw no giant thicc vampire bug lady gf
Human or mosquito form?
I find her wing arms hotter than her boobs.
How about a manipulative hanging fly lady?
Does anyone have some more art of the mosquito vampires of the darkest dungeon? I'd like some. pretty please.
>manipulative.
Bit of an understatement, user. She was abusive.
that's because you're the parasite, go lay your eggs in someone innocent
The promo art is pretty good
Nonsense
Bloodstained had the Not-Alucard librarian and the Not-Elizabeth Bathory.
Do you have her gallery animation? That hip sway was hypnotic
>"You won't leave me user, right? Because then that would mean I would have to track you down and eat you alive, piece by piece."
Your Stockholm Syndrome is talking.
I'll come inside, if you know what I mean.
Careful, she only likes innocent and kind young boys. Dirty talk gets you in her dinner plate.
>be a vampire gigathot
>get killed my a guy with a kitchen knife
>free food and bed
>clean apartment
>sexy, motherly roommate who works and constantly wants to fuck you
There is literally nothing wrong with this
What's she from, user?
They do them okay.
Better hope you stop aging.
Niji no Ori, a one shot pornographic manga about a man who is kidnapped by a kind, loving, and voluptuous insect woman
You're a meal she's toying with. And when she finds a prettier young boy than you, either she eats you or hides your body if she doesnt want to eat what she used to fuck.
VTMB
Just behave yourself and nothing bad will happen
save for the part where she wants to eat you
mosquito themed vamps > bat themed vamps
>Hey adventurer, would you be interested in the big bounty I am hiding in my chambers ? Come, I will show you the way
>*SNORT*
That makes it even better
until you grow up.
>just a guy
thats what everyone thinks, everyone underestimated him
Path of Exile has a spider goddess boss who has the same male kidnapping, raping and eating thing going on.
read Insect princess
redpill me on PoE, is it enjoyable?
what are fun builds to run?
I like him and his voice actor is pretty sexy sounding too.
The hottest shit
I wish there were more things with insect themed succubi or demons. Seems like it would be such an interesting design, but the only bug-cubus I can think of is Queen Chrysalis from MLP
its not like its an overbundant theme
Well, does the succubus from the dmcdmc counts?
True. I just like the aesthetics
based retard
I dunno man, the female is arguably the most horrifying one in this example.
What happens if the Countess hits with her transformation attack? My guys always dodged it, so I'm guessing it's either minor or devastating if it has such a low hit chance. Unless it's just a guaranteed miss.
This
it has a really low hit chance unless your people have those flesh buds eating them up
if they do there's no ammount of holy watr wich can help you
warhammer
Imagine Diablo 2 that has like 15 minor expansions and around 8 major ones. Now on the course of playing through Diablo 2, all the expansion content can randomly appear during the story missions instead of happening after beating Baal. You farm Fallens in Blood Moor and suddenly you discover another optional cave that is not Den of Evil, but area linked to an expansion with its own enemies and loot. Or theres an NPC who gives you a mission instead, or a dark shrine that spreads this visible area where monsters pop up all around you. Now add in 6 more acts to Diablo 2 (total of 10) and an endgame system where maps are also items you can grind, craft and modify and endgame also has its own separate story. Thats Path of Exile and why its now the undisputed king of the genre. It beats all the competition with the sheer amount of different stuff you can grind and do.
Evil spider queens are fairly common in games. And more often than not alien- or insect monster bosses tend to be queens. For the obvious fact that in the insect world females are the big and mean ones and males are just expendable sperm dispensers.
These are all unholy, heretical abominations that must be cast into eternal damnation! Giving up ones life force to be a food source to these foul creatures in an pitiful pursuit of carnal pleasure is an act not befitting of a man, nay, you are but mere livestock awaiting the slaughter!. To deny these wicked creatures and instead strike them down as an offering to the fiery Goddess of Righteousness & Light is how one sheds their mortal shell and ascends to Godhood!
DEA VULT
>Bayou Mosquito vampires
Fucking genius.
For me, it's Jeanne d'Arc, the most holy and purest of maidens
>to the fiery Goddess of Righteousness & Light
I will never not be mad about my Tomb Kings getting Squatted whilst the big bad of their whole race gets his own grand alliance and the vampires continue to BTFO the Tomb Kings long after they're gone. Fuck you, Neferata, and all future vampires.
>Implying they aren't hidden some in your order
Darkest Dungeon has some god-tier fanart.
>got so much into necromancy he invited the best necromancers in the world and then killed and resurected em to endlessly make boner army
>tried to get hot herbologist ass until she proved to be good, then kicked her out when she was too ugly to tolerate
>summoned devils from the beyond into pigs, then threw the excess into the sewers to create a shape shifting
>summoned an actual devil into a pigs body, made a superdemon, then fed it townspeople
>townspeople got antsy, so he hired mercs to subdue em and didnt pay em
>hired pirates to get him artifacts and bound them to be forever drowning since they tried to extort him
>sold a girl that liked him for money to the aquatic monsters
And last but not least
>spots a thot and tries to fucking kill her for fun
>beats the shit out of her with nothing but a goddamn knife, as she is a vampire of the highest rank
>makes fucking wine out of her blood and tastes it
>achieves actual nirvana and enlightenment and becomes part of The Heart
What a based motherfucker.
Somewhat relevant. Tuesday SMITE releases Persephone whose whole gimmick is growing up soul-sucking plants made of human remains.
I enjoyed Blood & Wine a lot.
I wish the second DLC was as visually interesting and creative as the first.
he also almost got caught by a madman time traveler? and he tried to kill him mutiple times only to say "fuck it" and made him go mad
Hey, gotta keep yourself busy y'know
Fuck off, human purity is /pol/ racism for cowards who are afraid to be racist
>Actual bro
>Bitch you don't get to kill in-game (although I guess she dies in one trailer)
>Autist who does you the favor of killing the princess bitch before getting killed himself
You forgot the funniest part:
>Smashes the village miller's windmill with a comet
>Because he thought it was ugly
>The poor Miller, thrice a victim. The seasons took his livelihood. I took his land. And now, uncountable years later, the comet has taken his humanity!
what sort of thing will we know about him once the second game comes out?
how can he top the amount of dickness from the first game
God I wish that were me.
based crusader
The dude knew people all over the world, and in DD we only see what he did in the hamlet, or to people he knew who came to the hamlet. He probably had tons of other connections and horrible hidden things all over the world.
that's what i mean, he has done some shit in the past right?
he even got added into DoL as an easter egg
but why a mountain?
what sort of buisness could he had on a mountain aay from his home?
Elden Ring.
Personally, with the pictures of other eldritch gods in the intro, I think it's obvious he was throwing his loyalty around to a bunch of other gods. I wouldn't be surprised if he sold the whole damn world to some fuckwit god on a mountain because it promised him some power.
Aside from VTMB, are there any games where you get to play as a vampire? From what I've heard Vampyr was awful eurojank with terrible combat so that doesn't sound too promising. You can become a vampire in TES games but that's more of an optional powerup rather than the main theme of the game.
Blood Omen series and Underworld for the ps2
I started up a new Darkest Dungeon playthrough last week after stopping at DD2 two years ago in my last. Just killed the piss easy Vvulf and I've only lost two heroes. Feels good.
Didnt daggerfall have lycanthropy too?
Vampyr is shit for playing a vampire, because the main character keeps bitching about how horrible it is and if you ever do try to play at being a vampire, i.e. feeding on people, that forces a negative bias form the whole narrative on you.
wasted potential then
blood omen
bloodrayne
All of the Legacy of Kain games.
Hey, a kitchen knife is all you need if you can equip every single ancestral trinket at once.
Based
Going full PLAGUE OF LONDON and tearing your way through everything in sight is worth it though. If you've a single person left alive in your play through then you're doing it wrong.
What is DoL?
Blood Bowl desu
I actually rather liked the whole vampire thing, but didn't really care for mediocre gameplay and essentially having to forego game's main draw to get the best ending.
>mfw Arthurian myth is brought up
To be fair LoK doesn't really count, beyond both Blood Omens which are different in their own right. It's a series that features vampire heavily, but doesn't really revolve around the vampire condition itself because it has a story to tell unrelated to that.
I guess its just an adaptation but it still counts.
I love Warhammer's vampires. Specifically the von Carstein vampires who seem to be heavily influenced by the 1992 Bram Stoker's Dracula which is my favorite vampire movie. A dark aristocracy. Evil but not apocalyptic like other villains of the setting. The romance between Vlad and Isabella is cute as well.
The other vampire broods in Warhammer are neat as well even if they really just fill out the gaps.
>Castlevania yet to be brought up in a Vampire Vidya topic.
I mean I suppose it's because Vampires didn't actually exist in the series until Castlevania 64. I guess fighting a 2D Vampire was just too hard for them to program.
This book is astoundingly mediocre.
it's a porn game, turns out the whole ton is full or rapists becaue under the island there is an eldritch abomination feeding off the lust of the surface dwelers, the guy behind the game hinted it might have something to do with some "Ancestor", then you just have to connect the dots
>yfn be a blood dragon and just spend eternity honing your martial prowess
Why the fuck there's not a new bloodrayne game?
ethics department don't like her
Then it's my time to let it rest, I don't want to see her getting the FFVII surgeons treatment
