Hows the gameplay?

I live in Japan. I bought it like a year or so ago.
Game's alright, the story is nice, kinda sad (that's the whole point). Gameplay is... a bit repetitive and very "static", but if you're into those kind of games it's enjoyable.

I haven't finished it yet though, maybe it gets better later on, I just kinda lost interest in it to tell the truth.

Combat is in real-time and not turn-based
other than that the gameplay doesn't look bad per se but it looks pretty average

I've been looking forward to it a lot because I enjoy my misery porn and depressing shit, but I'm not sure I'll buy it for $60. My JRPG backlog is ridiculous as it is.

After several months of nothing they finally came out and confirmed that the OP's cut would be censored on consoles but uncensored on PC. They said there would be no other changes.

Zanki Zero had several CGs altered and others removed entirely for no given reason and they refused to explain why they were censoring it on PC too. They also altered dialogue to reflect the censorship which was not part of the disclosed changes and that makes me hesitant to believe them about Crystar.
