>pre-order and play immediately
So like buying?

>advertisement mentions "Soul" in any way or form
Trash game

>pre order and play now
wtf is the point of ore ordering?
does this mind job actually work on people?

Havnt seen anyone talk about souls besides the bonfire similarities, it reminds me of diablo 3 with the random dungeon generator shit? idk

the melee combat is wonky, the level design is awful (like straight line awful)

it's soul-like in a way but it's a generic TPS with some soul elements

You can pirate it and play it now. I didn't find it very good in the first half an hour

Saw bits of it. Is most of the difficulty from getting ganked by summoned minions?

it's the same dev that made darksiders 3, which got a bum rap for some reason, I like 3 way better than 2 as it plays closer to the first game

so you buy i before reviews are out

Literally every youtube review/Twitchfag calls it a "souls like looter shooter"

Dunno,I'm always down for more co op games though so I'll bump just out of interest.

I don't make a point of comparing every fucking game to the Souls franchise like every journo does but there are key things in the game which are obviously only there because Souls has made the design popular again.

>Resting at crystals resets enemies
>Crystals teleport you back the hub area where you can buy stuff and upgrade gear to +5
>A healing item that recharges when you rest at crystals
>Bosses are gated behind fog doors
>Dodge rolling has iframes and is affected by equipment weight
>Recent trailer makes a point about learning enemy attack patterns to better exploit them

The benefit is that you can play it for an unlimited amount of time on Steam and then refund it 1 minute before the release

game releases the 20th so idk how much time you get to experience it

48 hours is plenty of time to decide whenever you want to keep a game or not desu

How is the gun/melee weapon variety?
Any cool unique skills?

there is NO level design, it's procedurally generated

It looks like jank, but not the good kind of jank

More like the we bit off more than we could chew and wanted to make a AAA game on a indie budget.

>>Resting at crystals resets enemies
>Crystals teleport you back the hub area
fucking zoomers man, that's diablo 2 mechanics...

>there is NO level design, it's procedurally generated
Are you retarded homie? Someone has to create the tilesets in the first place.

melee weapons are pretty pointless and mostly just differ in swing speed/damage, guns and skills have decent variety

FORSEN BUILD

I'm pretty sure you could make a build to destroy bosses in seconds with nothing but skills

you fucking what

It's just linear corridors, boss fight, linear corridor, boss fight,... repeat until the end

I personally am enjoying it, but I would have made more comparisons to Warframe instead of Souls.

Warframe? Tons of grinding and waiting?
I am Big DS fag with brother and we love some coop. This game looks promising.

>warframe
as in it's a coop shooter?

played it for a while until a bullshit boss made me quit.

>Is it any good?
idk but I watched couple of streams, and gameplay looks decent, but the game seems to smear bull dykes with attityde in to your face, so it's pozzed at least

yes, and? this is too

as uninspired as this may be at least it's a video game not a prostitution/market jewing based mmo

You can boot steam in to offline mode and it will not add to time played.

that's the only similarity it has to warframe

Which is kindof bizarre considering there is no loot.

yeah but that's what user asked, they're both co op shooters

So I just found a ring that increases firearms effectiver range by 20%, is there any point in using any other weapons than the smg and the shotgun with this?

Its actually pretty good but I dont think it will last very long. Its a dungeon crawler, but you dont need to do 100 hours grind to do the content just to do the end game stuff in which you start grinding more, here you pick up a gun and it will kill enemies no matter what it is really, the game progresses and you keep moving forward, each "dungeon" is a self contained thing that you can repeat and it will randomly generate new areas for you to play in. This is both good and bad, good in that if you want to just jump on and do a few dungeon runs it works, bad in that I feel that after a short amount of time people are going to just finish the available content and leave because the game really is that simple and without grind or much build diversity from what Ive experienced.

I think I wouldve loved this formula with a sword and magic game, why the fuck are there no straight up dungeon crawlers, this does it but it lacks something that makes it worth really sticking around for I feel. If this was just a bit cheaper I would wholeheartidly recommend it, its actually decent.

twice now I died to a boss and it treated him as defeated, gave me his item and shown the exit. with the boss still spawned

who still /pistol/shotgun/ here

I found a good sniper rifle and been more focused on that ever since.

the base game is bugged
you have to buy a 10$ dlc that has a debugging tool to make it playable

>watch a few streams
>looks like trash
>download it, maybe it's fun when you play it
>plays like trash

cheat engine is free

I would agree but given your actions Its safe to say you are a fucking retard.

What kind of bug are we talking about here?

>preorder now and play immediately
>you can even preorder after the release, and still play immediately
wow, this really is the future, you get to play a game after you paid for it. this might be the most advanced preorder in the history of preorders.

just beat it the last guy was hard

Its alright
been putting a decent amount of time in it

Let it die but with 0 grind and no tower.
>pick hub(like the floors all have different themes in LiD) and the enemies and environment are randomly generated
>There is also coop which LiD was sorely lacking
>combat is punishing, it will be hard for people who are shit and it will be fairly attentive for those that are proficient
Sadly, I dont think there is nearly enough content for it to remain active, people have finished the game already and its not even fully released. This is a content dependent game with no content, itll not last long enough to get more content because noone will be playing it after the first month.

This is the result of people saying "grind is shit" in a loot game, here is the grind removed but the foundation is intact, its a very straightforward shooter that feels like it was meant to have alot more to do and work towards. The game NEEDS harder content or something or its fucking dead.

Looks boring as fuck. One of those games where 'generic' is bad. Probably good to entertain you a couple of days.

the "content" is random boss spawns

game has 20+ bosses but you only fight like 15 in a playthrough so they force you to replay the entire thing multiple times to see every boss. plus there are "special" ways to kill bosses for different rewards

pretty bullshit artificial way to extend it

That looks boring...

games not for you then, simple as that

you think so? here fight two of him at once are you entertained yet?

>Let it die
This game wishes it had an ounce of the attitude and art design of that game, not the mention the killer score by Akira Yamaoka.

are you retarded? in d2 you can drop a tp fucking anywhere and go refill your potions/heal for free and come back. enemies will even still have all the damage they've taken, and this even works against bosses

in fact the literal only place you cant do this is the barbarian fight at mount arreat.

dont ever pretend to be a boomer ever again you 12 year old

True but the game doesnt look bad at all, its the same designers behind Darksiders, which is decent. Music is forgettable though, truely.

Let it die was a piece of shit that killed an awesome game to leech on to the popularity of dark souls. The director didn't even want to finish it and that is apparent in the name. Let it die.

Are the armors any cool? Any waifu material?

Not him but no and no. Code Vein in September, this is lazy trash Darksiders asset flip. Not worth pirating.

For fuck sake user if your going to shitpost do it with some semblance of knowledge on the matter. It is absolutely nothing like Darksiders, what the actual fuck are you talking about.

all the human females are trash
all other females are of different species from different planets

Everyone is ugly(you wear a hat or helmet all the time anyway), and the armours are all dusters and long coats, there is varient but they look far too similar.

My current armor, has high defense, gives me more damage to melee and ranged but damn do you fat roll in it
Didn't come with a head piece

Attached: Remnant-Win64-Shipping 8-17-2019 11-53-00 PM-863.png (1920x1080, 2.2M)

pretty sure every armor comes with a head piece you just have to find it sometimes

I finished it last night and i give it a 6/10, the game itself is not bad
> the level design is nice and the mobs are not that dumb
>the 4 areas that you play have a amazing design
> weapons have a good variety (even if they look like straight from Warframe) and the mods give them extra versatility.

Now, to the bad
>gameplay if FUCKING SLOW
Even fighting light you'll still too slow for most enemies, specially the bigger ones, if you use heavy armour you're fucked because you can't dodge and can't tank, the worst is the snake on the forest, if you let that thing close you're fucked.
>enemy scale
You could grab the most OP shit in the game and still take 3 body shots for almost anything in any level, there is no point in upgrading anything.
>boss spawning mobs during the fight
This is the worst for me, the bosses have a nice design, cool attacks and all, but you spend most of the fight killing shit that spawns in the arena for no fucking reason, it's just a bullshit gimmick to make them look harder, the worst cases are the Undying King, the Mexican Minato and the Thunder Wolf.

It's not a bad game, but they need to iron those bullshit mechanics to make it look harder than it is.

Watched a streamer play it last night, he spent at least 40 mins (He was already doing it when I started watching) in the same church/chapel room farming enemies that were spawning in through the windows.
I have no idea why he was doing it but it killed any interest I had in the game.

janky shooter with about 3 enemy models and uninspired artstyle, no thanks

yeah your right, just because it has the three piece bonus

isn't the mob spawn for ammo drops during the fight?

Attached: Remnant-Win64-Shipping 8-18-2019 11-35-43 AM-959.png (1920x1080, 2.11M)

She looks almost nice. But only almost.

>benefit
LMAO, how the waste of my time with this shit game beneficial to me?

that gun and that halberd really remind me of Warframe
then a pistol that looks like a museum piece
and clothing that's generic sci-fi 101 like Destiny

what a mess of an art direction

Yep, but in most cases you can kill the boss just fine with your stock ammo and ammo boxes.

yeah they come from 3 or 4 different planets

>It is absolutely nothing like Darksiders
Is this nigga for real? I've played both.

Attached: stuff.jpg (800x933, 236K)

final boss has an epic fucking glitch where he sends you to the shadow realm and forgets to spawn a portal out

It reduces damage falloff of snipers (because damage falloff is a % of max distance).

You get the helmet from a very unfortunate questline.

Gameplay, user.

I've been having a good time with it. The critique that it has a slow, plodding start is very accurate. Once you get to the Labyrinth and start hitting other worlds, it gets a lot better and more varied in the kinds of armor/guns you get access to.

>asset flip
>gameplay
???

Yeah when I first start playing I thought it was going to just take place on this games earth but yeah

I like how besides story bosses, not all of them are the same
Friend and I have been getting completely different ones

Attached: Remnant-Win64-Shipping 8-18-2019 11-41-29 AM.webm (960x540, 2.3M)

I've been looking forward to this game since it got unexpectedly dropped at E3, and it generally lived up to the hype. Really excited to see how it continues to grow after release.

How do you create boss weapons? I got some boss item from the boss before the labyrinth, and it won't let me use it anywhere

Actually for me and a friend our story had different bosses i fought a dragon and he fought some giant tree before the tower appeared. Another also had a bow boss instead of the sword dude at the start.

If you had actually played it, you would know it takes place in 4 or so different planets and that destroyed city is simply the tutorial

Riggs or the grumpy lass, you either get a weapon or a mod.

Slayerbros what weapons are you using? Devastator and Hunting Pistol here.

Main path bosses can also be random.
Event NPCs and world items are also random to an extent.

ahh gotcha, thanks. If you go into another person's world and beat the boss again, do you have a chance to get the other item?

There are multiple random bosses in most areas (e.g. Sewers may or may not contain Shroud), and at the end of each chapter there are 2 possible bosses, with two possible ways to kill them, totalling four end-of-chapter weapons.

Yeah when I went through this dungeon with him yesterday, we didn't get this area in his

Attached: Remnant-Win64-Shipping 8-18-2019 12-05-46 PM-237.png (1920x1080, 2.14M)

Played it for a grand total of 30 minutes(the intro and the first shooting section)
The movement controls are janky af but the shooting was decent enough. Didn't like it very much because of the simplified class/character creation system.

Undying King is a bitch and his weapon makes any hp/healing trait invalid if you have a ton of mod generation

Cultistfag here, do I stick with the coach gun? Or switch over to the shotgun or hunting rifle?

There is no class system, that's simply an initial set of armour, weapons and mod.
You can pick them all up in the first 5 minutes.

The class traits seem to be unique though.

each class has a unique trait others can never ever get (cultist's is the only good one)

>red doe puzzle

Attached: 1497179019199.png (256x256, 69K)

You can get them but they are random so it's not guaranteed.

They aren't.
You can buy them from the mods bitch.

>find a key that opens something
>go open it
>accidentally unleash the root upon one of the worlds
Wasn't expecting that

Attached: 1542391566990.jpg (1280x1280, 207K)

you can buy mods not traits

She's gonna stay stuck.

Oh yes, I'm retarded.
What are the traits then?
Ranged dude has "enemies have -1.5% per trait vision range" (which is actually useless because they can still fucking HEAR you shoot.
Melee has "+3% melee damage".

no
multiple reasons
-every boss fight is an add fest
-tight balancing makes it not fun to build your character
-loot extremely rng reliant, might not find any good trait/gear/weaponn or armor beyond the things that are locked in
-dodge is the only defensive move you have
-slow as fuck pacing

Asset flips aren't inherently bad and in this case the gameplay between the two games is completely different, and the assets used from Darksiders 3 have been modified to fit the more gritty design and don't stick out like in the shit you used to see on greenlight.

Cultist has increased mod power generation, lategame almost all my damage in bossfights comes from mods (swarm and breath of the desert), I only use guns to charge up on plebs.
It's like I'm playing diablo 3 with generators and spenders

So reloading either of the crossbows drops just your characters fps during the animation, weird as fuck

The art design and music is still top notch.
