Fucking EA almost singlehandedly killed the RTS market when they fucked up C&C.

I'm not saying EA didn't stick their noses in there, what I'm saying is EA didn't come to Bioware and tell them "give them really shitty A, B or C endings but lie to their faces first". This is incompetence on everyone's part.

They touted the "made by PC players for PC players" line with DAI (from Laidlaw himself) and it controlled like horseshit on PC (and even console) at launch with some of the most retarded design decisions I've ever seen in a AAA game.

Your on the ground cursor that you used to issue orders to people when pausing the game followed the same pathing restrictions as your character would: if you wanted to move a character into certain position that was only accessible by moving up or down some stairs your on the ground cursor had to go up those stairs, you couldn't just click the position directly.

Is your cursor in position and you want to move 2 characters to that position? Well tough shit, when you switched to the second character to give them orders it would reset the cursor position to the character you just switched to. So you had to move the cursor again to where you wanted to move them. And the best bit: it was the same thing for issuing attack orders. So hope you liked moving that shitty cursor a lot in fights if you wanted to use the tactical pause feature.

I believe they fixed it later on but I said fuck it and just dropped the game before that. Thank fuck I didn't give EA any money for that shit. DAO was a good game, not perfect, it had its flaws. But it was a good fucking game. Same with ME1. These 2 games were designed before EA bought them. It all started spiraling down after those two games little by little until we got to Andromeda and Anthem (which somehow managed to perform worse than Andromeda even though Andromeda was done by the B-team).

If anyone has any hopes for Bioware at this point they are delusional and I legit feel sorry for them.
