Well yeah, you might miss something in a game without subtitles

>set audio to English
>it's some kinda nigger speech and you can't make it out, end up enabling subtitles
>set audio to Japanese
>understand everything without subs, everyone is talking clearly

I always watch movies with subtitles if possible. Most of the movies I watch are euro or asian. Korean movies are bomb.

Interesting. native english speakers play with subtitles on too?
I spent 5 years on USA and can understand english perfectly, but I always play with subtitles on in fear of missing anything.

I literally cannot take my eyes off subtitles when they're on, idk what it is so I always turn them off unless I'm watching a foreign movie.

4K72" and 4K144fps foe me mate.
Different things.

I need subtitles for everything.

The new Fire Emblem does this shit. I don't think the devs even tried playing in handheld mode.

AND YOU FIND GEOFFREY

you just know

>game gives your an advantage for having subtitles on

I hate this shit so much, is it so hard to add a few words to make sense so it doesn't ruin the surprise?

>all the text in the game is too small if you don't have an HD TV
>in a game that came out in a time where not everyone had made the jump to HD TVs yet

>play localised game in my own language
>still have trouble understanding the words, need subs

why americans so bad at their own language they do this shit? its the only country who does this shit.
