deliberate practice
not even worth it.
no matter how good you are there is an autist who has memorized all the games startagies and statistics and will know where to beat you at every corner
chess isn't RTS...
and to answer your question just practice
Learn a build order that will win you 55% of your bronze league matches. Then expand when that strategy dissatisfied you.
Chess is a strategy game you play in real time, brainlet.
it's turn-based
Based retard
A mix of doing your homework (watching competitive/pro gameplay on youtube and reading guides) and just as others have said; practice, practice, practice.
How would real time chess work?
Practice and math.
1.you build strategies using math.
2.you test them by practicing them
3.Take the data from the test and go back to 1 with the new data.
Repeat.
probably a lot like the clusterfuck that happens at the end of the awful short time control games
go back in time to when rts wasn't dead
learn how to play piano and then use it on the keyboard
This. Watch someone who is good and learning why they do it.
Its not turn-based, thats why they have TIME LIMIT ON MOVES.
Fucking retards i swear....

You realize that GSL vs The World finals are in 45 minutes, right?
He probably means an RTS that isn't just Starcraft.
Dilate
>no matter how good you are there is an autist who is better than you
doesn't it apply to all aspects of life?
What RTS game are you thinking about playing, OP?
SupCom + TA
CnC (Don't know which one quite yet)
Warcraft 3 (and maybe 2)
Dawn of War
Stronghold Crusader
I'll take suggestions for others I should try.
Honestly, I'd say go for Starcraft 2. Guy name vibe has a decent bronze to GM series on YT to help you get started. Just practice that every day.
You'll get more players from PA than Supcom nowadays. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing. PA was panned on launch for a paltry amount of content, Titans doubled the unit count and added a ton of other shit to justify the price point and rereleased as a standalone.
I didn't really care for Starcraft like the other games I listed but maybe I should give it another shot.
I didn't hear good things about PA but it sounds like it's better then it was.
