Dwarf Priest. I've always played Warrior in WoW and wanted to play a healer for once. Conveniently enough Dwarf was already my favorite race and they just happen to have the best racials for Priest.

Unless your trying to get into some kind of try hard bleeding edge progression world 1st guild not being a Human won't be a deal breaker. Horde get by just fine with only Axe spec on Orcs. Not sure what spec you wanted to play but gearing up for Fury DPS sucks fucking dick.

Plenty of people ran and did raids with """sub-optimal""" builds. They are not that god damn hard. 90% of the work is prep work not actually the raid itself anyway.

Extremely mana efficient healers in PvE you can spam flash of light for days without going OOM. Also arguably the best PvP healer due to things like having plate, blessing of freemdom, bubble etc and Ret is very solid for PvP.

The bar for entry for healers is the lowest out of any role. Tier sets have to go to someone and you can rock up to raids in full greens and if you say you're a healer you'll still get an invite and be fed tier sets/healing loot. 2 handers are usually offspec rolls so you can gear up your lolret set and go delete some clothies in wpvp with lucky seal of command crits.

It's a comfy class with cool quests like the 100% mount and verigans fist. Also bringing a Holy Paladin to a premade is a guaranteed win
