>game has working mirrors
Game has working mirrors
It's really difficult, okay, a grey shiny texture works just as well, you know it's a frigging mirror
>mirrored image is just another player model copying what you do
>you dont show up in the reflection
> Game has NPCs that all look the same
It's actually not that difficult. You just render the scene from the correct perspective to a frame buffer and map it to the texture for the mirror. It's not that hard
I have to go to the bathroom.
THIS GUY IS LOADED
HE'S PACKING
WE HAVE A SITUATION HERE
>game has "working" mirrors
>halves your render budget
nothin personnel kiddo...
>irrored image is just another person copying what you do
>mirror works in-game
>mirror starts showing horrible things happening to your character
> the scenario in the reflection cover itself in blood and the blood cover your character reflection
>if you try to quit the room you die
This was all I wanted to see
The dont make them bc it doubles the workload on the gpu
How do you think real mirrors work, retard?
damn. i'm looking goooood
what is he thinking?
>silent hill 3
Why does this map 1to1 so clearly?
That's fucked up, I didn't know Winnie the Pooh had themes.
Hitman doesn't have working mirrors. There's sort of an interesting story behind it. A long thread on their forums of people bitching because not all costumes reflected properly. Long story short, the mirrors are pictures of pre-rendered models that simply mimic Hitman so it looks like your actions are reflected in real time. But there's certain costumes that are missing hats and gloves in the mirror because they didn't want to make the pre-renders for every possible combination of hat/gloves/weapon/outfit. It's smoke and mirrors, but good enough to get the job done. I don't have a problem with it. It's fucking annoying sometimes, though, where they place mirrors. Like in the Bank's top floor dressing room, there's a floor-standing mirror angled in a way to make it 3x harder to pull guards into the room to take them out unnoticed.
>Game has working mirrors that enemies can use
...
They reflect light
>game has working escalators
I'm not made of light and the mirror reflects me. Explain this, retard.
>he still thinks light is real
grow up
The light inside me faded out a long time. How can it reflect?
>I'm not made of light
>dude reflects light and you see it as dude.
>mirror reflects light and you still see the fucking dude, no mirror in sight
Explain that.
Light bounces from your body and goes into your eye.
It can also bounce from your body, then from the mirror and go into your eye
>you can see own car in mirrors
why more games don't do this?
So the consensus is that nu-devs aren't nearly as talented.
intentionally jank horror games when
As a kid i thought it was creepy and surreal that i could look at a mirror sideways and see what was beyond my reflection, like another dimension
Um, games are more complicated now than they used to be, sweatheart
This was a bug with DLC outfits, I believe.
Now add another mirror
>mfw the mirror in Banjo Tooie is literally just a duplicated room you can literally clip through with certain moves
The ironknee
If mirrors aren't windows to paralel worlds explain that pic
mirrors are more fun than videogames
