Did you shoot Conrad or yourself at the end?

>i need more
Sorry bro but too many people got upset there wasn't an Undertale pacifist route, there won't be any more

>he kept playing
(You) are a monster

Psuedo intellect incels hate this game

It was great because it kind of subverted expectations that you were doing the right thing as is always the case in these kinds of shooters.

You don't always have to take the developers' stupid vision into account when enjoying a video game for what it is. He told you to turn the game off because otherwise you are a bad person? He's an idiot. You have your fun, it is a literal video game.

Conrad. What about you?

Try Kane and Lynch: Dead Men. Gameplay is pretty crap, but holy shit the story, especially if you choose to stay loyal to your squad at the end

>yelling "Target down" to yelling "FUCKING DEAD" as the story goes on
I liked that little feature

So what was "the line" Yea Forums?

Conrad because that’s how you get the true ending with the bonus level

>you can shoot up in the air to scare the civilians
Yes, you can do this.

I thought Conrad was the best option because i felt he symbolized your insanity, or a form of darkness/ evil within you. So i shot him in hopes that i was sort of cleansing myself.

That’s what I did on my first playthrough

The little details in this game is honestly astonishing to me for some reason. Even the simple shit like that.

it was so obvious, I didn't even think devs wanted me to shoot up the crowd. I mean, really, how else would you disperse a crowd?

>heart of darkness insanity shit
lol. game is about a magic sandstorm that can block all comms and captain america konrad flies into it to try and evac everyone. the magic sandstorm kills mostly everyone and the survivors go cuhrayzeee, then the sandstorm lets out konrad's signal because reasons. then america sends in the cia janitors to clean it up and it gets even worse. this game is sharknado levels of hilarity.
also remember the lead writer says everyone died in the chopper crash so none of what you played actually happened.
directed by m.night shyamalan.

I let Conrad Shoot me

Maybe in your anger you could have shot them. It certainly was an option.

The game didn't really deserve all that much hate. Sure, you were railroaded, but what fps didn't do that? They railroaded you into meta shit like 'oh yeah you're the protagonist but you aren't actually doing the right thing!'

Play Nier

>i need more
Welp, not gonna happen, largely because of brainlets who feel personally attacked when asked to play the bad guy in a story.

"Everyone died in the beginning" seems like a snore fest of a trope but it works here because that's not what it's about. It's about a man's soul battling between darkness and light. Like a struggle to be free and truly pass on in peace instead of drifting into the abyss. They are dead. That's kinda obvious. The thing that makes you wonder is whether walker can be freed from the cycle

oh. so i wasn't supposed to shoot all those muslims?
...i feel retarded now

Hey if you have the option and feel it to be right, why not do it?

>He didn't shoot them down despite knowing you could have just scared them off
You got the bad ending

>implying there's good ending

I don't really see why you wouldn't keep playing. It's a stupid idea to just "let go" when Walker has already done it all. You're just in purgatory waiting to be judged. Id rather go ahead and get through it to try and be free rather than just put the game down. That would basically mean you're leaving walker in limbo.

over rated as hell

I truly believe leaving Dubai with the soldiers is the good ending. You broke the cycle and accepted what you've done.

Well how many other games actually do this type of narrative? And how many actually do it well without fucking it up too much?

>Accepted that he literally killed everyone by destroying the water supply

Supposedly the developer said if you felt bad about killing people in a video game, just stop playing.

But why listen to him at all? The game is fun and you shouldn't feel too bad about being railroaded. It's a nice ride.

Eh, I didn't make it all the way through.
I got to the part where I'm supposed to use the white phosphorus, but I jumped off the ledge and died in the firefight.
I saved and quit because I had to go do something and haven't played since.

You were Konrad all along!

Walker is an illusion of the brave hero soldier that Konrad thinks he is, not the reality of what a soldier really is.

I don't recall a dev ever saying that, just the pseudo-intellectual video essays on YouTube. Spec Ops not only needs to be played to completion, but it actually needs to be played at least twice to get the full experience.

That being said, if you're not getting any value out of a game, then there's really no reason to force yourself to play it.

stealth/sniping isn't worth it lmao.
just pick up an ak some grenades and torso/headshot fuckers.
helico minigun was kino.

is he ok?

I don't think anyone in this game is "ok."
Walker needed a hug, man

Cool didn't ask.

play The Suffering

>dude guns and military and right wingers bad
>lmao!

>right wingers bad
while this is unironically true, i don't understand why you brought this up, since it's not a part of the game.

I liked the part where Glascow Mega-Snake came on.

Mgs2

He’s just externalizing his own inner demons and insecurities and trying to get ahead of them to avoid having to reflect

Nier

The Darkness

>while this is unironically true
Nobody cares of your political opinions. You literally said that because you want to divert the thread and shove /pol/ down peoples throats. You literally couldn't help yourself. Talk about video games, you little shit

Tell me about this game, user. What's it all about?

>You literally couldn't help yourself
i'm not the one that started it.

The best part of this game is near the end of it you and your squadmates are just shitting on each other mid-combat.

I liked the fact that they tried to make the game appear as generic as possible with the opening turret sequence with the generic military man with generic shaved hair, name and gruff voice to match.

It was an interesting game, I'll give it that - there are so many little details as the game progresses on and Walker slowly loses it. Excecutions get more and more brutal - such as Walker putting a shotgun into an enemy's mouth and blowing the head off to give an example.

It’s all technically the radio man’s fault.

I don't understand, why WOULDN'T I want to WIllie Pete brown people in a video game?

Fucking Call of Duty 4 is a better written and more subtle game concerning war. The only thing this game accomplishes is to showcase how easily impressed an audience that has literally not consumed any media other than video games and superhero movies is.

I smell a mutt

There's a lot of really good little TECHNOLOGY moments in the game.
>multiple billboards, graffiti and other scenery change based on your choices or even when you move past them
>the sniper at the main menu is fucking dead when you open the game again after playing the level he's in
>walker exercises trigger discipline at the start of the game but eventually stops
>after the WP scene, some dead soldiers will be cradled up like the civilians were after you turn away from their bodies
>aiming away from the mirror at the last scene makes you point the gun at your own head
>when you hallucinate a one of those EOD fuckers as lugo, if you let him kill you, you get a weird hallucination and blink back to walker going 'what the fuck' at the last checkpoint
Etc. It's a really lovingly crafted game.
My biggest gripe is the community thinks the game accuses them of being a monster and bitch about having no choice. That's the point, WALKER had no choice but be a monster, the player is just along for the ride.

>when you hallucinate a one of those EOD fuckers as lugo, if you let him kill you, you get a weird hallucination and blink back to walker going 'what the fuck' at the last checkpoint
I love when weird shit like that happens in vidya

Why would I not shoot them? They know what they did.

> Walker and squad dialogue changes later in the game
> Walker loses his trigger discipline after ging nuclear
> Several civilians are hidden through-out firefights in the game, most people shoot them without noticing
> Many hallucinatory images are hidden through out the game (Conrad on posters, burned statues, Lugo's hanging reflection, Lego and Adams names on a mortuary, mannequin dolls etc)
> Special dialogue for special locations (there's specialised dialogues for soldiers hiding behind dinosaur skeletons)

Fuck them, they hanged Lugo.

>when this shit kicks in

This. They also have the fucking gall to laugh and throw rocks after you scare them off, even though you could fuck them up. Niggers, the lot of them.

jerking off to futa

>dude feel bad about what you did because you didn't have a choice lmao our writing is so good

"Toxic masculinity" the game

impliying killing the us soldiers at the end isn't the best ending

>another retard took it personally

also the Kübler-Ross model in the end

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kübler-Ross_model

Last thing in the game I ever did. Made it a proper send-off by also doing it at the end of my FUBAR run, which was fucking tense because dying ends the game.

Attached: Capture.png (277x89, 37K)

It's a psych trip like Spec Ops
Combat sucks but the story and atmosphere is 10/10
Also has a lot of soul in it

>FUBAR run
That shit was crazy

Came here to link this.

Goddamn this game had 10/10 atmosphere.

Combats not that bad. Getting a quick random slow mo after poppin a headshot feels nice and all the guns feel weighty and nice to use.

killing innocents out of anger. that part where Lugo gets hanged is where the line is drawn and you're given the option to react in whatever manner you wish.

grow up, it's not that deep.

>war is bad and you are the bad guy

keanuwoah.jpg

>defending shit writing
Seems the only retard is you.

The only people who get mad about this game are Americans who get mad if you don’t thank their veterans.

The worst part was just how little ammo you had.
Couldn't get fucking anything done without leaving cover to slam some fucker to take his clips. Do it too slow and all his mates shred you instantly. Fighting heavies made me piss blood just from how many precious bullets to the face they eat.

Many people seem to skip over how the tower starts burning during the sandstorm after the execution, how riggs death effects the painting on the truck trailer and how lugo's death was foreshadowed. It's amazing how much shit they hidden in this game.

Fuck off, alt-right snowflake.

Stick to Japanese games, kid.
