I think you could bludgeon someone pretty well with a Xbone controller.

That steam controller is a fuckin abomination

switch controller ideal for most 3d games
xbone ideal for shooters
dualshock ideal for 2d games and navigating hulu menu

I own(ed) all of these bar the shitty Steam controller.

Xbox One controller the best and most comfortable grip.

PS4 is good, but the sausage grip isn't as good as the Xbone. Also the triggers whine.

I own the wired version of the Logitech and there's no rumble. Even then, the triggers are too stiff and the shape isn't optimal.

The Switch Pro controller is trash, mainly because of Nintendo's idiotic button layout. Also the triggers aren't pressure sensitive, they just click, which is garbage for driving games.

Joycons? Who cares, they're meme tier like the Wiimote.

Depends on the game. Most PC gamepad games I use the xbone (pic related)
Switch I just use joycons. After the smoothness of aiming in BotW I liked them a lot.
I don't have a Playstation anymore, and even if I did, I wouldn't use dualshock. The position of the left stick fucks with me because I claw my left hand (pic related) and forces me to extend my index finger too far..
I bet the Steam Controller is nice if you can get past the learning curve.

its only good for keyboard typing
that two thumb action

Controller learning curve has got to be the most autistic thing I've heard somebody talk about

WTF

Why? It takes time to learn any input device. You're just used to regular pads because you've used them ever since you were a wee lad. It's kind of like giving an arcade stick to someone who's too young to ever have been in an arcade, it'll take time to acclimate to it.

X -> Y -> B-> A

Dualshock 4 for anything that uses the dpad more than the analog stick. For most other games, the switch pro. The XBone feels better but the ability to map gyro to mouse makes it obsolete for any game that wants you to aim at stuff.

Attached: [email protected] (2048x1645, 298K)

for some reason the old American console makers liked phone keypads in their controllers. and you wonder why Japan wiped them out

Thinking of getting this for PC. It looks like the perfect controller especially having the removable battery.

Maximum straya

Switch Pro by far

Switch controller is just a shitty version of the WiiU controller.
The X1 Elite controllers are probably the best traditional around.
DS4 has the most shit in it (touchscreen, gyro) but maybe that's the Steam controller which I never used and know nothing about.

I want a good new controller that uses the Neo Geo Pad stick

Is it possible to hook that steam controller up to a console?

How do you even use a steam controller?

None of these controllers have a good D-Pad with the D-Pad in the appropriate position for 2D platformers and fighters

Anyway, xbone1s.

Wrong placement and only if you buy the elite for the price of a house in Venezuela

Xbone for fightings, SC for everything else.

joycon superior split setup
steam's superior replacement analog input method
...but all the d-pads shown are awful

there is not enough here

Nigger what the fuck

What's wrong with it?

After years of playing Splatoon, I cannot play shooters on consoles without motion control. Is the PS4 controller capable of motion control on PC?

for me, its the xbone

Attached: 1450785060830.jpg (400x400, 39K)

>wrong placement
Are you incapable of using your thumb in different positions? What an IDIOT LMAO

>Willingly being inefficient and unoptimal
Based retard

I can swap between the DS4 and Xbone controller thoughtlessly, I slightly prefer the weight and texture of the Bone controller but after ten minutes I barely register a difference. I do definitely prefer the DS4 for fighting games though, something about the stick just feels right for me. I've messed with fightsticks but they've never really clicked.
The Joy-cons have the same issue as every Nintendo controller since the N64, they're 10/10 for games that specifically make use of their unique features but not great for the average game. No opinion on the Pro controller since I ain't paying that fucking much for one.
I don't really have an interest in getting a Steam controller, I'd rather just use either a regular pad or KB+M.
The 360 controller and that one Logitech controller are overrated as fuck.

The Duke reigns supreme btw

They thought Americans were too stupid at the time to understand button combinations and needed individual buttons for individual commands.

>Willingly being inefficient and unoptimal
Says the guy that cant use his fingers in more than one angle.
Was using a duke this morning while playing MoH Rising Sun. Does anyone sell duke style replacement thumbsticks? All i see is controller S/360 style.

>I claw my left hand
So you play like a fucking retard, got it.

Who /rightclaw/ here???

Switch Pro. Never held a more comfortable controller.

Pro controller I guess. Since I’m playing on it now and posting from a laptop on my couch.

Out of my way bitches

Attached: file.png (1280x1024, 329K)

Dual wielding for days bro

Unironically great for games that don't need a ton of buttons.

The thinking man's controller

Attached: Dp4zf-BX4AEo7wd.jpg_large.jpg (620x418, 40K)

If you're absolutely retarded enough to claw your left hand isn't a DS4 objectively better since you have both your thumbs on sticks?

That's me with certain games, my index finger hurts after a while though

Shitty d-pad, you can fix it wirh tape. Aside from that they are really good

>analog sticks have barely any liftoff
christ, I'm glad this double-dildo looking pos didn't become the standard.

Attached: hqdefault (13).jpg (480x360, 14K)

I'm digging the Switch Pro controller but the Dpad seems untrustworthy.

Xbox 360 controller with a usb plug.

The time has come and so have I

Attached: accessible-technologies-xbox-controller-disabilities.jpg (860x593, 202K)

He doesn't do it because he's sensible. I think he only claws his left, so that would make the dualshock the worst option. Aside from that, it's not that good of a controller.
Extremely overrated

You haven't fucking lived until you've played DK Jungle Beat with these bad boys. The Wii version is not an acceptable substitute.

Attached: gc_dk_bongos.jpg (600x470, 28K)

Wasn't this thing absurdly overpriced?

i'm gonna go with none of the above drew

i remember a lot of sites liking that controller. they just got a lot of backlash for changing the design. gamers are too autistic and want the same thing over and over instead of change. sony was smart to switch back, but i always wonder what could have been

I had one of the older ones and it was a bit weird with connecting wirelessly. The pad itself was very good though. Maybe better for handlets.

What's with the d-pad on the Steam controller?

It is. Funnily enough the PC can make better use of its features than the PS4.

A controller for Onimusha and probably ebay.

Attached: 1537981573933.jpg (1199x1400, 472K)

It's a touchpad.

What the fuck is this. Why does RE need a custom fucking controller

The idea is to do what the dualshock attempted but on an operating system that supports it
The "d-pad" is an afterthought to the touch ability.

Still waiting for anything to come close to the comfort of Logitechs wireless OG xbox controller.
