So the people that play the games (mentally stunted manchildren or 6 year olds) can say they had fun
as a kid this shit was genuinely hard.
If you want a hard boss...pic related exists
As a spectacle they are pretty rad but they always let down in the challenge department which sours the experience.
how many times do you actually fight the same gay bowser fight in 64?
That's splatoon though.
3, first two you just hurt him once, i assume you didn't have a N64 as a child or teen
>Wait 2 minutes to jump on the boss's weak point
>Do this 3 times only faster
That's why. Every Mario boss has the same fucking predictable structure.
>jump on bosses weak point
Want to know how I l know you never played this game?
>why does a platformer not focus on combat and boss battles?
atleast its better than partners in time where you couldnt hurt like half the bosses until you complete a sequence within the boss fight and then they go back into healing/invincible mode 2 turns later.
>what is that wall guy from the castle painting mission
Do nintentoddlers unironically not understand that the game is made for childrens in mind?
Mario was never good
It still applies to the bosses you don't have to jump on.
They're bad because simple platformers aren't made to have boss fights. They're just here to give a climax to the levels which are the real part of the game.
DK64 and even Banjo both had better once. If you want you could even call the "game" before fighting Grunty a form os "boss fight". But the fight vs Gruntilda was still great. And DK64 had many great boss battles.
Play the Manta Storm level from Sunshine and then come back to me
Bowser in Galaxy wasn't bad, not especially difficult though.
Hey guys since this is a mario thread, can someone tell me which mario party game I should get?
mario party 9/8 for wii?
or mario party 10?
I have a wii u that I gave to the family so they can play Wii U Party, and I want to get a mario party game to show em what a real party game is.
But mario-party-diehard fans all seem to dislike mario party 10.
Which is the best one?
The concept of throwing him into a bomb is cool, but the actual execution of the throwing is janky.
If this fight was in a newer game it likely would've been better.
Does your logic also apply to bad Sony and Microsoft game bosses?
Emulator and Mario Party 1-3
Unless you like literally square maps, then Mario Party 10
I played this boss just a couple minutes ago. I was actually just thinking it’s probably the best and most challenging Bowser boss in all of Mario.
galaxy 2 bowser was simply epic, i dont give a fuck what anyone says
if you didn't get hype for this song, you don't have a soul

thanks breh
ill buy mario party 10. i cant emulate, my family is too normie to understand laptop display to TV by HDMI, let alone emulators.
The idea was fantastic but he was so braindead easy you don't even get to hear the whole song before you beat him.
i guarantee you are going to HEAVILY regret this
true and that's the point of this thread, bowser boss battles are easy.
then lets do an actual hard one, the fight vs him in Paper Mario TTYD. Grodus was hard enough (should you not grind and use the chef's items), but then after you're forced into another fight with Bowser himself, with yet another hype theme. This, imo, is probably the hardest fight you have against him (where you're supposed to win).

That one was a really cool idea, but I prefer Galaxy 1's Bowser. The song is wonderful, of course.
didn't you know about the jump+spray+spin move
Galaxy had great bosses though
Don't know about Microsoft, but does Sony even have bosses anymore? If they do, then they're all so shit that I'm not even aware that they're bosses
