Why are the Galaxy games special needs?

No power-up will ever be as good as the hammer bros suit from SMB3.

Say what you will about the NSMB games, but they introduced a lot of fun power ups

one game at a time to compete with CoD for the title of most obvious rehash cash grab
Juan Cruz
>most obvious rehash cash grab
why bother posting if you haven't played the games?
Jordan Rivera
I can agree with you there.
Honestly NSMB and Wii were my favorites and arguably the most soulful (Especially when you're playing Wii with multiple people). 2 sucks ASS and U is painfully mediocre. NSLU is a bit better though.
Josiah Walker
>none of this will make it in Mario Maker past the Propeller Suit as the obligatory "special" powerup
Colton Campbell
I don't get why people say the NSMB series is a rehash fest, is it literally just because they all have new and their name and NSMB2 and NSMBWii came out slightly too close to each other?
The games all had a lot of variety anyway. I really don't get why they're called rehashes.
Blake Baker
Smb3 had the best power ups. The frog suit was fun too
Benjamin Peterson
Yeah and the art style and soundtrack had negative soul.

Ahaha laughing out loud reddit.

You're a veery insecure redditor.

DS and Wii were soulful
2 and U were soulless
t. has played all New Super Mario games

I don't really understand that one.
I really think that some really cool things could be done with them.

>Galaxy
All the Mario 3D sandbox games have timed powerups because it's literally almost impossible to loose them with getting damage
Angel James
In galaxy the powerups are literally just wagglefests hoping you can do something in the 5 seconds before the powerup wears off
Ryder Sullivan

What was Nintendo thinking?

The new super mario series has some originally to it
he art style
The first “new” game on the ds was a return to roots of a 2D platform
New super mario for the Wii brought 4player action for friends to be together and an unironic helper mode if you were genuinely stuck for casuals and new comers
The 3DS brought in a collecting coins for a bigger goal
The Wii U brought in a year of Luigi and Nabbit
The image of super mario maker
Super mario run
Super mario puzzles and dragons
>literally using only the first world
>doesn’t show that all though each level follows the same them they all have things and levels design mechanics that separates them
>literally ignoring that the DS has unquie bosses
>that the Wii brought 4 player action coin battle and koopalings
>the 3DS has dry bone bowser and coin ycollection goals
>that the Wii U had baby yoshis which you can take between levels and nabbut
>forgetting that Luigi u was not only harder in level design but also forced you to complete each level fast with only 100 secs
>ignoring the fact that the NSMB style has always been used for experimentation like Super mario run and Puzzle and Dragons
Jayden Hernandez
>4 NSMB in 10 years competing with 15 CoD games in 10 years
Austin Wright
NSMB2 was a letdown. Barely anything original besides DUDE COINS LMAO, and they have the audacity to not even mention Wario, the king of greed. It also doesn't expand on the ideas from the previous NSMBs well, along with lacking multiplayer.
Fun fact, it also has gay DLC for a mode no one plays.
It's the weakest entry in the entire Super Mario series.
