It's one of the many problems with Steam reviews.
Weeb games repulse most people so they don't buy them. The people who want to buy them have a very very high likelihood of rating them highly since they eat up damn near anything.
The whole concept of review aggregates is fundamentally flawed anyways. Metacritic, Rotten Tomatoes, etc etc. All trash.

Well I personally don;'t like them so they should be rated poorly. ratings are dumb let's just get rid of them who cares about knowing if a game is horribly bugged or not I personally don't like WEEEAABOOOO stuff being rated highly by people who like them. If I can't use steams top rated game section as a newsfeed to see what I personally enjoy then steam is basically useless. Get rid of user reviews like BASED EPIC LAUNCHER because some people will let their personal opinions influence their rating being positive or unpositive and i personally don't like VNs. I will just use the top rated feature and then not even read the reviews. Anti-anime crusaders and their larp anime hate e persona are so cringe.
