Your character (a human turned into a pokemon) saves the PMD world from a falling asteroid by recruiting Rayquaza at the top of the world. Because his purpose is completed, he's being returned back to the human world. It's a real tear jerker cause you partner pokemon and everyone else is watching you slowly disappear

That one was sad but you instantly go "lol I'm gonna stay with my pokemon friend, fuck humans" then the post-game carries on like normal.
Kh2 is the only game to genuinely make me cry and feel absolute despair that the game was over. To this day, no other game has absorbed me so much and given such an amazing final boss, end cutscene and amazing music so perfectly mixed together.
