343 making halo

Don Mattrick
Killed the Xbone dead before it even got out the gate and then fucked off.

but that pre-dated the Xbone

initial price
online requirement
cannot share games
>how can they be this stupid to fuck up this bad , they dug their own grave

The same thing that happened to Sony during the PS3 era. The previous console generation was so successful that it went to their heads and they thought they could do/charge/implement whatever they wanted without consequence.

>DMC5 coming to Game Pass
Nothing.

halo 4 was still on the xbone and it was still shit

It's such an unnecesary platform when PlayStation exists. At least do something different like Nintendo does.

putting all their "exclusives" on PC

E3 whichever year it was.
They pushed an expensive, intrusive mess that focused on being a home media center instead of a game console. The collective “what the fuck” from the gaming community over the price tag and being unable to play used games was tremendous. It turned Xbox from the front runner in the console market into a meme overnight. It was actually incredible.

Three things:

1. That horrible E3 reveal and early focus on it basically being a locked down PC digital store where physical copies of games didn't matter at all
2. 343 ruining the launch of the Master Chief Collection's online which could have brought a whole slew of people to the Xbone's userbase
3. No focus on exclusives really or at least the paltry few exclusives they did have they didn't advertise or even seem to care about/they cancelled them

They did about everything they could possibly do to fuck it's launch and even subsequent years that they could have recovered through.

being a shitty fucking console for normies

It'd be easier to list what went right.

2013 reveal, Xbox Scarlett will be an improvement in every way.

(You)

Xbone Halo 4 is shit in comparison to original Xbox 360 Halo 4.

Nintendo has been shit until the Switch Lite, also PlayStation is irrelevant and their franchises are shit. The fact that they kill off good series and never brings them back makes me hate Sony more.

>Initial hardware was under-powered compared to the PS4, resulting in multiplats running at a worse resolution
>$100 price difference because of the Kinect
>Horrendously planned DRM policies that included such caveats like publishers being able to restrict lending or trading of games and having to connect to the internet once a day or face being locked out of all your games
>Over-reliance on the same stale franchises (Phil has said for years they're bringing the games yet every E3 it's always Halo/Gears/Forza then a ton of indie games that will be forgotten by the time they come out)

Backwards compatibility. That's basically it.

that and the updates for old games, played rdr1 with it, the game could come out again like that and people would go for it

Don't you need an X for those though?
