It barely looks like a soulslike, more like a TPS looter shooter but with actually sane gear progression and tons of secrets.

Played with a friend and it's solid, shooting feels good, decent enemy variety and a fair amount of secrets and items. However out of 5 bosses all of them have been ruined by additional enemies in the boss arena, you can't just clear them and fight the boss because they summon shit every 10 seconds or more just pour in passively. If you end up focusing the boss you just end up getting buttfucked by a suicide bomb enemy or something. Don't know if they're all like this but I sure hope not.

I mainly play Japanese games but I'm pretty open to new games regardless of origin.
I'll give it a try but I already spent too much money on games this month; next paycheck if the game keeps getting solid reviews.

I believe some connecting areas are randomly generated, combined with all the Souls elements, makes this some weird Diablo/Shooter hybrid with Souls. Loot seems one and done like Souls, with the Estus system, with stamina for melee attacks and dodging and the randomly generated "dungeon" areas make it seem like they wanted to go Diablo but didn't want to throw loot everywhere.

Add in Traits for leveling up, and acquiring new traits as you progress the game, it seems pretty good for customization.

Just save your money for Code Vein next month
