Tales Of Berseria

honestly,it could've been a 9/10 if they didn't overcomplicate the fighting system.
what do you think of this game Yea Forums?

Story is typical anime shit for infants, combat is literal garbage, "open world", backtracking, graphics you would expect from a game 8 years older.
At least character desing was cool.

3 hours in i reached a town that had no background music whatsoever which kind of set the tone for how much effort went into the rest of the game. I've never liked a 3D Tales game and this continued that streak.

The battle system is fine.
I just really hate the shoehorned in gathering and crafting JRPGs have now. Also the story was mighty generic and predictable.
But then again Tales of games ARE generic and the only thing that sets them apart from other JRPGs is the combat.

>multiplies waking speed and exp gain through mods
You can now enjoy berseria.

Story sucked towards the end

Not bad. 7,5/10
Gameplay could be better.
And i know Anime games will never catch up with current era graphics technology like Raytracing or something, but at least they should do better at artstyle like Persona games did
Characters are god tier though. Everyone is likeable in this game, especially Magilou

>overcomplicate the fighting system
I beat the game only pressing a single button

the combat system is graces f without any of that made it good so, its shit. also, the hole having to level up an item to get its skill into a character is a awful ideal makes items feel less unique and having to switch in and out items constantly.

>what do you think of this game Yea Forums?
Every single aspect about the game straight up sucked except for the characters.

I wanna start a family with Velvet

I don't know how anybody found this shit complicated. Every fight you just look at the enemy weaknesses, assign all of the artes to hit the weaknesses to a single button, proceed to mash that button the entire fight

Weapon skills were fine in Vesperia, the difference is that in Vesperia they actually made a difference, rather than all being some variant of "+1% damage"

+Actually has an interesting plot
+The cast is the best it's been since Vesperia
+The waifus are hot in this game

-Soundtrack isn't memorable
-The gameplay can get repetitive after awhile

It was a 7/10 for me.
We probably won't ever see another game with the same caliber as Vesperia or Abyss but this one is as close as it gets for the time being.

played for 15 hours still didn't understand the fighting system.
PLEASE CAN SOMEBODY EXPLAIN HOW IS THIS SHIT WORKS?

Story and Characters are fun. Gameplay is not. It's a step above playing Final Fantasy at least. I like having a little say in combat

Magilads ww@

>overcomplicate the fighting system
You can face roll everything with Velvet alone by just mashing.

I never touched it because they decided to tie it to the trainwreck known as Zesteria

it's decent

Seconded, and it is actually funny and almost telling. JRPGs are seasonal anime in video game trappings that players only pretend to care about because they want that melodrama, yada yada, so to get another game out ASAP Namco only improves the melodrama in a meaningful way.

Cant stand laphicet as a party member. Really annoying all around

I've had the urge to go back to it recently but I can't decide whether to focus on post-game or just go NG+ then do post-game when I get back to the end.

I basically did a full playthrough then NONE of the post-game initially and haven't played since.

>all of these low resolution uploads
The fuck is wrong with your brain

>Low res
That's original size.

I forget where I saved them from. I'm gladly take any high res uploads if someone has them.

Zesteria sucks. But this is 100% playable. Ignore the connections to it.

Never played it but it's a Tales game so it's most likely a 5/10 at BEST

I just don't remember it "feeling" that much better, probably have Team Symphonia games feedback as the standard in my head.

The crafting systems in Tales games have always been poorly executed.

Poorly executed or barely there.
