Juggles are my least favorite aspect of Tekken, but it isn't enough to stop ne from playing it from time to time. Sure, I'm be happier if they got rid of then after 5 hits (except for wall-bounces, because fuck you if you get turtled against a wall), but just accept its part of the game and move on.

People say Asuka's character was ruined, but I feel like they started that way back in Tekken 5. In her ending, we see that she has a latent ability to recede the devil gene that she's not aware of. Right after that, we have a gag where Jin accidentally motorboats her, she punches him and then storms off. In one short cinematic, we see her entire character development from start to finish, and then segues her into a joke character which to this day continues with her being Lili's punching bag and being ogled at by dirty old yakuza men. Any significance she had in the story lasted about 10 seconds and Namco immediately set her on this path all in the game she was introduced in.
Most juggles aren't that long in 7 though, especially optimal ones since damage scaling is pretty harsh in this game. Tag 2 and to an extent Tekken 6 were the only ones with really, really long combos.
ArcSys games and KoF have considerably longer juggles yet no one complains about them in those games, why is that?

I hope they make the 'pauses' between gameplay shorter in general. Loading times in this game feel really fucking long, I know it's an unfair example because of how technology has progressed and shit but back in the old games going from character select screen to gameplay took seconds, I miss that.

They should have a simple mode for normal people who want varied characters that cuts down the moves of each character to their 50 most iconic moves, has better movement without kbd, and has a shorter combo system. Tekken is a hand to hand combat game and you can only make so many punches and kicks before combos start looking similar. I still never warmed up to the idea of rage arts in general, it never feels like a fair win/lose situation when RA happens, even though it never happens in higher levels. it's really weird to me how the pros never use it even when it's an easy win for you (enemy spams df1 like five times in a row, RA will fuck them up for sure).
T7 sort of added that in Season 2, I think if you hold down a button you get access to a bunch of commands auto-assigned to one button or some shit

If characters had fewer moves, each character would have tools that others don't and also people would be able to express themselves with their mains. And kbd is a dumb movement character. They should just buff movement and players should be rewarded for their ability to maneuver and not who can maneuver and kbd best.

The cast isn't as homogeneous as Yea Forums says it is but there is some fat that can be trimmed here and there I think. Mishimas are like Shotos in SF so no one minds the game having a bunch of them, but then you have stuff like three slide characters, Shaheen's most unique stuff should've just been given to Lee's moveset in my opinion.
T7 originally intended to trim the fat and have a more compact roster with only the most unique characters but they fucked up with the character selection, went with an initial roster size that was way too small (and also dropping many unique characters despite talking about avoiding the contrary earlier), and also no one likes 7's newcomers.

The whole point is that there are a lot of characters who have barely used and unmemorable moves that most people can't name. Big move lifts are not deep. They're bloat and tedium. I'm certain that the the aspects of a character can still be captured with half of your three digit move list

The controller is pretty oldish at this point and some of the buttons are loose and creaky while having different actuation points. It's all I have left to use unless I want to use a PS4 pad which I don't really like as much, I prefer circular dpads too but the old SF4 pads are impossible to find now

I used it for a couple games when I first started but then I figured out how to do all the moves with commands just as easily. Don't feel bad, everyone has the same option to use it, and if you don't, someone else will. It doesn't even matter if you are using it or not outside of the absolute beginner tier, as anyone higher already knows how to do the commands.
