I made Dorothea my dancer but completely forgot to equip her with the class and never used it.

Not that guy but I had Mercedes and she could heal a unit like 100km away from her, also fortify for massive aoe heals. 2 healers is overkill and Mercedes seemed better anyway.

I didn't realize that dancer is an actual class, I thought it's only for ball. I forgot to visit Manuela and kinda made Dedue my dancer since he was the first one I met. Tried to look for this class to equip Dedue after timeskip but there was none...

Don't ignore Authority and Charm. Higher rank battalions give ridiculous stat buffs later in the game and gambits will eventually become necessary.

You should just get everyone's authority to A or at least B as you might not have enough battalions in your first playthrough. But otherwise it's too good to pass on.

I meant more for his Battalion Vantage/Wrath cheese, high authority is useful for anyone, but 3 less damage isn't gonna break a great unit

some students learn a dark spell that does extra damage to Mounted units, so you combine battalions on him and finish with that spell. Lysithia learns it, believe its called Dark Spikes.
