I never understood the problem. why is it weird that they sat there and waited to arrive at their destination? They aren't friends. should they have been cracking jokes with eachother and playing pattycake? have you never just silently sat in the car with anyone?

The same thing that they were thinking during the scene where Kaz has Quiet tortured even though he knows she's Venom's lover and that she did nothing but be loyal to them despite having the opportunity to kill them all many times. And then Venom just watches it all go down even though he normally freaks out whenever she gets hurt.

The problem is why they were in that ride together in the first place. It's awkward when you are sitting face-to-face with the man who sold the world killed your fellow soldiers while Venom just looks passive after giving up his "advantage" before the ride on Kaz's request(which was strange coming from him) and then being surrounded by XOF.

It came out four years ago, the trailer he’s talking about was six years ago.

You were supposed to be passing through his gigantic Weapons/Metal Gear/R&D facility, OKB Zero. That entire section was cut, it was supposed to be the third and final gameplay area. He's silent, or giving his speech while he shows you his massive dong, much more massive than yours, kickstarting the arms race between you him and Zero/Patriots.

I would imagine they were going to do put in some sort of dialogue or a cut scene to take its place but never actually did it. It's not an artistic choice, but something that was left on the cutting room floor for no reason.

But how does Ocelot know then? How come Kaz didn't put 2 and 2 together when Venom nearly jumped into the vat of acid after her? It's still fucking retarded. Does Venom himself also forget that he was frolicking in the rain with her just recently and is apparently in love?

Venom has brain damage, so it's a wasted opportunity that they could have taken advantage of. Although looking at MGS4, maybe the writers work best when they use concepts that they can easily grasp.
