Dwarf is a good choice for duels but overall night elf is better for hunter, it's an acceptable pick.
Pretty much the only class in the game that has an option without gimping themselves too much.

You and the other locks coordinate which curses to use so you don't waste a debuff slot. Curse of Elements is usually a must. and usually only 1 or 2 locks are allowed to use corruption. Most of the time you'll be making health/soulstones, putting a curse up every 5 min, and maybe MAYBE using shadow bolt once if the tank has a hugr aggro lead
