Is it that bad? I want to buy it. I'm a big Max Payne fan, but I never actually buy Remedy game on release; back in Max Payne's day I was poor and we didn't have a store to buy legal copies of game from. Now, with Control, I can sort of repay them. And I'm interested in the game's concept too.

This is the first game I've ever actually canceled a preorder for. I had the steelbook preordered from Remedy's website.

This term has been bastardized to the point it means "any game where you take a key to a lock and you can take more than 1 hallway to get there".

You collect abilities much like Samus or Alucard that let you traverse and unlock more of the building. Apparently it's very open almost right away. It isn't like calling Prey a metroidvania
