What are some comfy story driven linear campaign games like the metro series?
What are some comfy story driven linear campaign games like the metro series?
FEAR 1
Already played that one, good taste though, severely underrated
Age of Mythology had a pretty good story campaign
CoD4 unironically
Ace Combat 4, 5, and Zero
ive seen this posted a bunch now and sure it sdeems wholesome but what the fuck does any of that drivel mean?
You need to play the game
Twisted metal black
Kingdom hearts 1
Kingdom hearts 2
Maximo ghosts to glory
Maximo army of zin
Metro is shit past the first one. The story and characters are boring as fuck.
I finished Prey a few days ago and it was much better than expected. Also Dishonored, Dark Messiah, Deus Ex.
i will never forgive her for being a whore
>Whore
W-what?
Anna is NOT A WHORE.
SHE'S MY CUTE RUSKIE WAIFU.
Seriously though the devs did a great job with Anna in Exodus so far. Just left Volga on the train and have been sitting for the past 5 or so minutes cuddling with her while she talks about stuff. It'd be even better if Artyom talked too outside of load screens.
The pieces all fall into place while playing the game. It's beautifully executed and contributes the list of reasons why Zero is the best in the series.
>Smoking
DROPPED
I like it but could never get passed the shitty combat.
>severely underrated
did you watch some popular youtuber say that?
welcome
The one moment where Artyom should have talked during gameplay was when Miller holds out his hand and says, "Artyom, are you ready?" at the beginning of the final level.
>comfy story driven linear campaign games
>games
might as well just watch them on youtube since they're barely interactive
I miss ac threads
dead spaces, evil withins, alien isolation, nolf, wolfensteins(all of them), tron 2.0, star trek elite force 1/2, things I can't remember right now but there is more
we have a severe drought in this department these days
there's literally one on the catalog right now
My favourite part of the game was when Miller asks for a private word with you and you have the option to smoke. I spent the whole conversation taking deep draws and blowing smoke in his face.
Doom 2016's story isn't comfy but really funny.
How is it funny?
uncharted 2
A giant cyborg called Samuel Hayden trying to justify opening portals to hell to exploit hell energy and trying to reason with the Doom Slayer.
Doom Slayer not giving a fuck and destroying everything anyway.
Samuel Hayden scolding Olivier Pierce for not doing her job right.
Lore explaining how the Demons are all scared shitless of the Doom Slayer, so much so that the entire story of Doom 2016 basically is just "an ancient evil awakens" from the perspective of the Demons.
Grand it there isn't much story in the game but the few story beats are all pure gold in my eyes.
Hlaf Lifr 2
I want this to be a gameplay feature in more games holy shit.
