I've played all the English FE games besides Shadow Dragon. It has the best writing/characters and music. The school setting is very comfy for the first playthrough. Conquest still has the best maps in the series, this a complete package though.

3H is plagued way too much shit that bogs down the gameplay. for every 15 minute battle you have an hour to an hour and a half of nonsense time wasting chores and cutscenes. this shit was stupid when persona did it, it isnt any more welcome now, not to mention the lack of a challenging mode or the 10 total maps in the game

this is a good take, it was my previous favorite before this and completely understand how anyone could strongly prefer it

I haven't played XCX yet (I bought it a few months ago but wanted a break after finishing XC2). Xenogears probably has the best writing but man after 10 hours I was already getting bored.

I shitted on LGPE non-stop before it came out, but it truly is an amazing remake despite being a bit barebones. Fix the garbage art/animations and catching mechanics, then it's perfect.

There's a lot of fun post game content you missed out on. I got close to 90 hours and still had a lot I wanted to do but got busy with other stuff then eventually moved on to new games. If I didn't have other games I wanted to play, I'd go back to it.
