Konami and Squenix needs to die

As a real (oh yes; I'm fully aware word will trigger some people) fan of both the Final Fantasy and Metal Gear series, I want both Konami and Squenix to collapse and cease to exist. Oh yes I know, there's very little chance of Squenix going bankrupt och disappearing any time soon, but damn they truly are cancerous stinking turd at this point and so is Konami; and we would all be better off without both of them. If all the top level execs of both companies suddenly died of heart attacks tomorrow and their headquarters magically burned down, that'd be great day - and one of the happiest days ever for vidya as a whole.

But Kojima was the problem, and SE releases two games every 10 years now so just pretend they're dead

Hello shill.

Konami doesn't make games at all anymore.

This.

8 years, 8 million buckaroos to release an unfinished game and you're implying I'm the one shilling someone or something

It's real telling of FF's future when the best one released in the past 10 years or so is a fucking mmo

80

Take off the nostalgia goggles. These games were never good.

Square Enix has some good sides but i agree that Konami must die.

this, fuck Hackjima

Fpbp

Konami sure.
I still like Square, FFXV is unironically in my top 5 FF games, an absolute comeback from the FFXIII garbage.

user if that happened I'm never gaming again and hanging myself. MGS and FF have been my favorite series since I was a boy and even if they're both shit the hope that the might put something good out at some point is enough for me. Call it what you will I don't care.

Final fantasy hasn't been good in over 25 years but Dragon Quest is still good

If Konmai drops Bemani support then they can go into the trash. It's the only thing I care about from that company.

they are no longer the god tier companies they once were

pachislots are technically games

I like both companies.

Konami I don't really care for, as much as SE, but with them still owning the copyright on Kojima Productions, it's clear that KojiPro is a dummy corporation for Konami, so I can't really complain. MGSV never had any missing content, but Kojima wants you to think it did, as a fuck you to diehard fans. Kojima wanted to move on creatively, and TPP was his exit from Metal Gear. Rumored Demon Edition MGSV and Raiden Metal Gear game are both interesting, if just rumors. Metal Gear Survive is universally hated except for ruse cruise theorists who have correctly connected it to Death Stranding and PT.
I guess that's why I give Konami a pass. Even though Kojima's gone, Konami is still doing ruse cruise tier stuff. MGSV is a great game. Maybe a game of the decade.

Square Enix on the other hand is still making great games. Kingdom Hearts 3 was a rare PS2 style action game in these modern times. Final Fantasy XV was lighthearted and fun, with some great lore. Both of those games weren't for everybody, but I thought they were great. FF7R looks good, we get games like World of Final Fantasy occasionally, SE produces lots of smaller RPGs and we're getting stuff like the Trials of Mana ...
FFXIV is the best MMO on the market right now.

If I had to choose one or the other to go, I'd say Konami, because they seem to be exiting the industry intentionally, but both are great. Especially Square Enix: has made some of the most aesthetic games of all time.

Kojima is a fucking hack

Konami should sell Castlevania, Metal Gear and Silent Hill to Capcom.

Make that 2 MMOs in almost 20 years.

Amen brother

Meanwhile this can be true, doesn't Konami get a shittone of money from Yugioh TCG and PES? Also when was the last time Konami realesed something actually GOOD?
