I met someone like you. I was streaming something on steam for a friend, and someone randomly joined and watched for a bit. They added me afterwards and said they were a girl but I didn't really care.

They would always try to talk to me and be friendly, and shit like that. Eventually they would ask if I "wanted pics of them", and I said "not really, I don't even know you that well" or something along those lines. They ended up getting really triggered because I wasn't thirsting after them.

Eventually they added my extremely beta friend and he ended up thirsting after them big time. A week or so later he called me on discord crying saying that person said "a lot of mean things to them". I just told him to remove them, but he ended up readding them later. I blocked the person though.

Apparently that person's endgame is to add people who seem really lonely or pathetic, get those people to become very attached to them, get anything out of them that they can, and then cut them off to crush them. It sounds like something that someone does when they've gone off the deep end, really. Like, see a therapist.

It only works on pathetic people. Either way, that was like the only time I've ever met someone so deranged on steam. I also removed my extremely beta friend after it, anyone who lets that sort of thing happen to them deserves it.

I guess they added me because I seem like a loser, or maybe I am one. I only have 9 friends on steam, and 6 of them I don't talk to. I still customize my profile because it feels like decorating a house. I like to make things look nice, not for other people to see but for my own pleasure. I don't have a lot of friends because I just legitimately don't feel a need for much social interaction. I guess I'm not a people person, most people annoy the fuck out of me. I have no social life irl, I just go to work, come home, and then play video games, jack off, or watch anime.

When I said I make friends with people until I get what I want out of them, it's generally just temporary happiness and relaxation, and eventually I get bored of them and leave.
