Tbh the whole Banjoboomer vs Stevezoomer Groutesqe Steve meme shit was nothing more than a fad. The only real purpose it had was to fuel the egos of MC fans and shit posters alike until it was the size of the sun. From day one it was already a lost cause because it is believed the development for Banjo Kazooie I'm Smash was already being worked on early as April. Weirdly enough the meme also took off the same time the whole Minecraft started to be unironically popular again. Not saying there's a possible correlation, but do make of it as you wish. The Best those shitposters can hope for even the slightest bit of just one more big of reckognition is the Internet Historian making a YT video about them. But I'm pretty sure the guy has better things to make videos about.

I think a stage is actually a great fit for Minecraft
It could be called "New world" or just "Minecraft", and could be randomly generated just like the mario maker stage with chances for diffrent environments to play on based on the diffrent biomes
Plus it could have mobs like creepers or enderman as a stage hazard (Creepers blasting you off the stage, Endermen teleporting you off the side like abra etc.)
As long as it doesn't have walkoffs I'd be happy
