>I'd like to revisit that Hyrule again
>We had some ideas for DLC 3 but they were too big so we decided to make a sequel instead
>BotW2 confirmed to reuse the EXACT same map with two DLC gimmicks for full price
It's literally A-OK when nintendo does it.
I'd like to revisit that Hyrule again
we dont know how they'll change the map yet.
it could be a disaster, or it could be genius.
Yeah, it's called a sequel.
I know its normal for AAA SNOY games to reuse every single asset from the previous game and throw in a couple new cutscenes but usually a sequel implies a new setting with plenty of new content that builds on its predecessor, you'd know this if you weren't 12.
>It's literally A-OK when nintendo does it.
What, make a sequel? We don't know jack shit about this game or how much content it will have.
a sequel implies nothing
botw hyrule is so massive that a sequel doesnt warrant a completely different setting
you know they're gonna change the landscape in some way, just dont know how.
you have no idea what new content there will be, but it has something to do with the revival of ganon, which in itself is pretty interesting.
possibly making zelda playable
pretty much confirmed actual dungeons which alone would almost guarantee some sort of change in landscape.
link may have new powers in his arm
its too early to tell
It's literally confirmed to be in the SAME Hyrule and to be an extended DL3 by Aonuma.
source
People who doompost despite having no information are the pinnacle of cancerfaggots in Yea Forums
>It's literally confirmed to be in the SAME Hyrule
Why would it not
We're obviously getting deep underground exploration and i'm pretty sure upper hyrule would be changed.
>an extended DL3
As in a full game sized sequel
>reuse the exact same overworld with 2 new temples
>BUT NOW THERE ARE CAAAVEES??
Yikes
based
cringe
>2 and a half year
imagine how these guys must look, this is hilarious
>mass replying
This must be the new bait tactic now
>hehe
>be you
>still SEETHING
>by me xd
kill yourself.
It will win GOTY again and there's nothing you can do about it, seething snoy.
Again, literally nothing wrong with this
Why would they remake hyrule or spend time creating an entirely different kingdom when they could use assets from botw and then go from there
look at how mad this sperg is this is too fucking funny
Because people want a sequel not a DLC for 60$ +tip.
id like to revisit too desu, this is the first zelda game to have an direct sequel where we get to revisit the world of the prequel's game. Gonna be cool to see how things have changed.
Reaching + MY head canon + no information.
Congratulations! The prize for biggest fag on Yea Forums goes to you! A winner is you!
>Gonna be cool to see how things have changed.
In what a couple months, a year? Link and Zelda look exactly the same, clearly not enough time has passed for the kingdom to have changed significantly, we already know all villagers, all main leaders, all random npcs and have explored every nook and cranny of the world.
If you defend Saints Row you should defend this.
Redemption arc when?
Shitpost thread. They said they wanted to use the same Hyrule and setting, not reuse the map.
There's plenty of games where the sequel is literally set in the same place but the level design and world design aren't identical to the previous.
>Breath of the Wild but with more towns/villages, new wandering NPCs, new side quests, proper Zelda dungeons, new music, new bosses
It sounds like it cleans up most issues I had with the first one and expands on what I liked, so I'll buy it.
There aren't any direct sequels that use the exact same setting, save Link Between Worlds and it was originally meant to be a ALTTP remake.
Most AAA yearly shit games have completely new assets every game. Thats partly why theyre shit. Thry drop everyrhing and start from scratch constantly.
I swear if this doesn't happen I'm gonna freak. It's high time Dorf gets a reboot
>more towns/villages
Why, only a couple months have passed since the first one, from the big shot of Hyrule we can even see it looks exactly the same, there won't be any new towns.
>new wandering NPCs
wow
>new side quests*
*by the same NPCs we already know
>proper Zelda dungeons
only good thing so far alongside the bosses, still not worth 60$
>new music
Even the Champion's Ballad had new music, again not worth 60$
You'd literally eat anything nintendo shits out.
>NOOOOO MY BARA PORN I DON'T WANT TO KILL MY HUSBANDO!11!
Fags get the gas.
We hardly even know about the game and have not even seen a millisecond of gameplay, retard.
not even talking about the bara gayshit, I just want a redemption arc where he's not evil for once
besides I prefer twinks like Link anyway, bara doesn't do shit to me
Didn't stopped you from coming up with a list of features like new towns, npcs and dungeons, you hypocritical dumbass.
>like, the badguy, is not a badguy, I'm such a revolutionary writer!
There are already way too many good guys in the story, why do you want the only antagonist to be good too?
I hope we get to re-do ALL of the shrines. Boy were they both thrilling and diverse.
It's literally a sequel
I'm not the same person, dumbass. Just saying a CG trailer and headcanon hardly represents what the game will be like. For all we know, the game could take place in the sky.
My assumption is that it's the same Hyrule with the same peoples, many of the same characters, only massively changed by some calamity. We see Hyrule Castle start to rise out of the ground, I assume floating islands will be involved, not to mention the destruction on the ground this would cause, as well as openings into the underworld being revealed.
I have no source other than what we've seen in the teaser, but I'm not retarded enough to assume they'll reuse the exact same map unaltered.
GanonDORF is hardly the "only" antagonist, given that he has only appeared like 3 times in total in the actual games. Regardless, making him good this time or at least not as evil as his previous counterparts would actually bring something new to the table, kinda like what they did with Link's iconic look
The possibility of the Hyrule Underground is certainly the biggest take away. This could mean not only dungeons, but possibly an entire world system. They wouldn't even have to significantly alter the overworld if they simply made a new game using the idea of going underground.
Floating islands would be a little interesting, but I can think of only a couple areas around Hyrule that would make for good ones, aside from Hyrule Castle. Not to mention it then raises the question of how exactly would we be getting to them that wouldn't just be a repeat of asking Tebba for a ride? As for other changes that could happen, all of the standing pools of Malice should be gone, as Ganon had gathered up all he could to form his body. So the Colosseum, the Swamp in central hyrule and Akala fortress will likely be pretty different.
why wouldn't a direct sequel use the same world you stupid nigger?
>>BotW2 confirmed to reuse the EXACT same map with two DLC gimmicks for full price
Where
They actually were because Breath of the Wild is the only zelda I've actually taken the time to 100%.
>possibly making zelda playable
god i hope not
Never happening
Well, no other Zelda game has done it before. MM is a sequel to OoT, but that's a completely different world. LA was originally conceived as a sequel to LttP. The only game you could make the argument for this is Zelda 1 and 2, since you do go back to the southern Hyrule, but in 2's proportions it's easy to miss the reference and it doesn't matter in any significant way to the overall game. 2 could have taken place in a completely different Hyrule and it would have been the same. I can't even name a game off the top of my head that was touted as a direct sequel that reused the game world
OPs disgusting lard clogged asshole. I can’t find anything about it being confirmed and I just read the interviews.
The Legend of Zelda Triforce of the Gods 2 says "hi"
First two statements came out of Aonuma's mouth during E3's interviews.
And none of them says "we will copy paste the map and change nothing of it for the next game", faggot, you can expect new settlements, castle town to be rebuild and more shit
The "two DLC gimmicks" thing is never mentioned.
>castle town to be rebuild
Did you watched the trailer? Castle Town is fucking DONE.
>the trailer reflects the final game and literally cannot he used for misdirection it cannot be changed later in development
because ganondorf is hungry for power and wouldn't fit a redemption theme.
>one of the main highlights of the first trailer (aka the thing the devs are most sure about) will change because I want it to
Delusional.
You mean that shot took from the plateau, too far to see if castle town is being rebuild or not, retard? Also you understand that even if there was no castle town you would still have zero arguments right?
I don’t know why I ever try to have an actual discussion about video games here when the main point is shitposting, baiting, console warring and rustling jimmies.
Try talking like a normal person instead of using ebin ironic meme arrows and maybe someone will take you seriously.
With that shot we can deduce they're not doing a Tarrey Town with Castle Town because the Castle is lifting from the ground, it'll leave a gigantic crater on the ground and probably decimate everything around it.
>literal headcanon about the result of the castle being lift from the ground
>still no argument even if the was no castle town anyway
>even if the was no castle town anyway
?
blame the retards that bought ALBW when it was a glorified ALTTP remake
for all we know the DLC is about as Big as GTA IV's DLC where they were big enough to stand on their own
>We had some ideas for DLC 3 but they were too big so we decided to make a sequel instead
Too many ideas usually produces the greatest sequels ever made m8
Hyrule before it got wrecked
>Zelda game will be set in Hyrule
WOOW WTF????
>"this game was originally planned as dlc but it ended up being big enough to qualify as a new game so we decided to expand it from there"
>OH NONONONO THAT MEANS ITS LITERALLY THE EXACT AMOUNT OF CONTENT AS THE OTHER DLC FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK
>necro Ganondorf looks cool as fuck and is a cool twist on the character
>all the art of him since the reveal trailer has been his human form
I hope they keep him zombie mode the entire game, fuck these artists
>wow wtf is a Majora's Mask?
One game out of how many? Regardless, OP still bitched about it
>Yea Forums still seething
I can't wait for BOTWO to get GOTY as well.
>one game out of many
>one
>Phantom Hourglass
>Oracle of Seasons
>Oracle of Ages
>Spirit Tracks
>Triforce Heroes
>Majora's Mask
phantom hourglass and spirit tracks are technically in a place called "new hyrule" but all the others are correct. also you forgot link's awakening.
True, I just want to rediscover that feel of first starting BotW and having this huge world to explore, I'm already tired of it after 300+ hours.
>Phantom Hourglass
We don't actually know if it's part of Hyrule or not. I think it's called New Hyrule?
>Spirit Tracks
Same thing
>Oracles
You got me there.
>Triforce Heroes
Is that even canon?
>We don't actually know if it's part of Hyrule or not.
Actually we do because Hyrule was below the Great Sea and it got obliterated as the King told Link and Tetra to look for another land to create a new kingdom, he goes out of the way to say it won't be Hyrule but a brand new place.
But it's New Hyrule, founded by a descendant of the rulers of Hyrule.
It's essentially Hyrule 2.0. So still Hyrule.
>it's a different thing, therefore its the same thing
>SNOY
>games
good bait
It's essentially the same thing as every zelda game where the world is totally different but it's still Hyrule. Just, this is "New" Hyrule. If "new" wasn't there this wouldn't be a conversation because it'd be the same thing as every single game.
That new Hyrule was just in name, didn't had any of the original landmarks present in every other Zelda game because, you know, it was a complete different place.
Yes, but it's still Hyrule by name and by ruler.
Your argument is the equivalent of saying the colonies was never part of england because it wasn't the same geographical place.
A colony is not England, yes. It's a COLONY, holy shit its no so difficult to understand, we're talking about geographical setting, not the name of the place. Even with all its redesigns everytime Hyrule is shown it always has the same landmarks: Death mountain, Lake Hylia, Faron/Lost Woods.
New Hyrule doesn't.
But that's irrelevant, because it's still part of the kingdom of Hyrule. It doesn't have to be the same geographical area to be a part of it. It's still part of the Kingdom of Hyrule, therefore the game takes place in Hyrule
The Kingdom of Hyrule no longer exists when New Hyrule is created, its just a symbolic successor in honor to the King, by your definition the US is part of England.
You must have really hated Jak 3 and any time a video game has brought levels back from previous games.
>literally reuses everything from ocarina of time, models, textures, sounds, etc
>it's the most liked game in the series
I know this is a hard concept to grasp for a snoylet, but amazing games can be created from anything really, even if the game reuses already existing assets
Time-travelling mechanic, so that you get to visit Hyrule before Ganon wrecked it.
The kingdom of Hyrule was remade as New Hyrule, it's a legitimate successor and continuation of the kingdom founded by the princess.
The colonies WERE part of England.
No one seems to be grasping how good a sequel will be for this map. Specifically the people who bitch the world is too empty. What the fuck do you think is going to happen after a new development cycle? with no need to create an entire map again? Does no one understand how much that frees up time to add actual content? Am I the only one actually thinking?
>snoyggers can't fathom actual content
The map is already filled up with landmarks that we've already seen. After 200h I'm more than done with its geography.
I'd be fine if they pulled a Majora's Mask and used all the assets to build a NEW map, what's the fucking point of travelling the exact same mountains only to find new dungeons sprinkled on top?
>what's the point in exploring what will essentially be a remix version of the map with all the new content
>Game is shit and has nothing to do
>Devs want to add things to do on game
>Ask money for it
Okay
snoy sneed
So if you were a explorer who just finished exploring the united states only to get blipped 2000 years into the future where everything is different though the big landmarks were still around as relics, you would have no interest in exploring the new that now exists?
Another concept, are you saying that you would never go to a grand reopening of a museum where the amount of things to see has tripled overnight because "ugh, I went to the museum already who cares."
Did you fags say this about super Mario galaxy 2?
It’s literally the exact same scenario?
Answer me god damn it.
Source?
We did. Then we got BTFO when it got 100s and 90s again.
from what it looks like, we will have hyrule and whatever this massive underground dungeon.
A massive dungeon the size of hyrule? Yes please.
>hiding a difficulty mode behind a paywall
>We had some ideas for DLC 3 but they were too big so we decided to make a sequel instead
He means that he wants to force holdouts to buy a Switch instead of continuing to play Zelda on their WiiU.
Yep, it is.
Bump
>He gets some muscle mass back later
>Still as gross skull face
