Thermal Grizzly.

Helmanns.

Any will do fine except the cheapest ones.

cum on it

this, tried a few times and it works perfectly.

I still use mx2.

Underrated

Let’s try to answer the question we initially posed. The answer could be “not very well.” The initial performance of the mayonnaise nearly equals the performance of good “real” thermal compounds, and lasts for about 24 hours.

After that, the cooling performance degrades. But the temperature difference stabilizes at about six degrees Celsius hotter than the initial temperature, which is not a complete disaster, but obviously places mayonnaise below the performance of commercial thermal pastes.

So, does mayonnaise last as a good thermal compound? No, it doesn’t. But does it stop working as a thermal compound? Absolutely not. After a couple of days, it works as a pretty poor thermal compound, which is better than no thermal compound at all.

Also, after 12 days the metallic cap of the CPU and the base of the CPU cooler were pretty oxidized. Even though we could remove this oxidation with a sponge, we don’t know what would happen after a longer period of time.

Doesn't work, they all decide to gather around one core :(

The best thermal paste for you right now is Arctic MX2

My processor said she wasn't on the pill, so I keep my semen away from her.

There's no reason mayo wouldn't work for a bit but unfortunately it's an organic substance that changes texture over time, meaning it's not gonna fill the void properly.

Is this enough paste Yea Forums?

use your cum

funny mem but that's way too much

>use same computer ten years without massive issues with the CPU
>apparently I was supposed to change the paste every couple years
So, it's just a meme?

Your penmanship sucks.

>mayonnaise won't fill the void
Fatties will keep trying, though.

Always get non-conductive thermal paste like they use for 99.99% of electronics

did you know amd processors were used to heat the oven they burned the jews in

Not really. You can ignore cancer and there's a small chance it'll go away on it's own, but that doesn't mean you should do that.

Kryonaut from Thermal Grizzly (German, you'll have to imort it maybe), is a mirace stuff but is said to dry out after a year or so, make it part of your yearly maintanance.

Just the one?

It still works even if you don't change it. It cakes into a solid and as long as you don't break the seal between the CPU and Heatsink, it should be just fine.
You're supposed to change it every few years because dust is bound to begin working its way between the two elements.

Where do they get these people to do 'demonstrations'?

yes

Pretty big oven.

I see why the paste lives up to it's name.

>So, it's just a meme?
It is.

Where was the demo where the guy actually did this and didn't realize he fucked up?

>under the pins
AHHHHH

>he fell for the thermal paste jew
just spit on it

It depends on what kinda paste you use. Liquid metal? You have to change it every year.

One of my computers I had never heard of Thermal Paste, I never even used a cooler at all. No problems ever.

>he says, using a watercooled 286

Most cancers just go away on their own. Of the ones that don't, most are benign and never life-threatening. Cancer isn't really so bad. Big pharma just plays it up to sell expensive medicines.

Not funny because this was intentional, unlike

>expecting /pol/ representative to not have some sort of mental impairment

cheapest one, makes no difference the chemical composition is the same, thermal paste is thermal paste. it's marketing scam just like gold plated HDMI cables

>gold-plated hdmi cables
>a scam
Oy, no they aren't. Don't lie, user.

How much did you waste on "premium cables"? You can tell us, we'll just laugh.

>Kryonaut
That's for very low temperature cooling, like liquid nitrogen or phase change cooling.
I don't think it's designed to work well on air cooling, get some regular thermal paste.
Also thermal paste never dries out, that's a misconception (literally the founder of thermal gryzzly says it's a myth).

>thermal paste never dries out, that's a misconception
not sure what you mean by this but i had a 7870 for years and it started overheating, eventually i took the cooler off and had to scrape off the very old crusty thermal paste and it was hard and brittle as shit, then the new paste fixed my temps

Then why do we have to reapply them?

It is NOT a marketing tactic, the chemical composition does make a difference because it dictates how often you have to change the thermal paste.
It may not matter as much as say, what heat sink you buy. At the same time, it's still not just 'a marketing tactic'.

That was the original paste pre applied in factory, right?
That paste is dry from the start, it's made that way to limit the "pup out effect" which means that thermal paste slowly works it's way out from the cpu IHS under pressure and also due to thermal cycles.
It eventually has to be changed anyway of course.

Thinner pastes (like most commercial ones) have higher thermal performance but since they are less viscous the pop out effect happens earlier.

not him, but it depends. Dust is a bigger reason for wanting to change than them drying out.

What kind of temps are we talking?
I built my pc in 2017 and the highest i let my cpu get to is 60°C and the gpu caps at 82°C .
I'm not sure if i should redo the thermal paste, it's not like it's going to make much difference is it?

youtube.com/watch?v=CCqxE-5Ct3w

Get pastelpilled, Yea Forums.

Well, the authentication certificates for solid gold are a bit pricey...

do people really reapply thermal paste? ive had my cpu for 5 years now never had to reapply it my temps are fine

Because mr. goldberg needs a new yacht.

it started happening in dark souls 3, it would go up to above 90c and the game would starting dropping to sub-10 fps

Miracle Whip. user will say mayo, but user is a retard. Miracle Whip holds up longer.

>Miracle Whip
That chemical sludge can't compare to the natural lubrication and heat-transference of mayo.

The added sugar in Miracle Whip acts as a natural thermal conductor and the crystals bond the two surfaces better than regular mayo which is more than half just vegetable oil.

Depends on what you buy

Some people do this and either buy two dollar inorganic-mayo or use the preapplied thermal paste that comes with every heat sink, and will start to notice temperature spikes a year after they bought it. In which case they will reapply the same tube of cheap shit and have to do it in another year.

When they could have avoided it altogether if they just bought a tube of ceramique in the first place.

how about this bad boy

Attached: 1558231896624.jpg (300x300, 10K)

i'm that user and i've only had to reapply thermal paste once ever and it was on a 7+ year old video card, you're a chump

listen, I'm not made of gold

What does thermal paste taste like?

>hey check out this mayo i bet it's better than this other mayo
Congrats, you fell for the marketing scheme. Next thing you're gonna say is "I was only pretending to be retarded" while posting a pic of hollandaise.
