Haven't played Dota(2) in years, but the changes appear to make sense at first glance.
Both choosing your role before looking for a match, and a split MMR for carry and support make sense.
Dota killed itself when it nerfed Terrorblade
How many times you need to post this you fucking nigger
As long as my Brazilian niggernet allows me, cunt.
How many times are you gonna make this thread
It's better than ever. I have only run into 1 single troll since this change. They should have added ranked queue years ago. Nearly 99% of people raging in Dota is because either they were forced to support when they didn't want to or the support sucked. Now that only people who want to support play it it's so much better.
>playing MOBAs
Best Position 3 coming through.
Core Undying is terrible.
this sounds good to me though
The signs were already there when they asked your phone number for ranked matchmaking. Your brain were just too slow.
>wahhh i cant make smurfs i have to spend $2 getting a phone number
>wahhh i have to spend 3 minutes longer in queue cause i dont select support
>game is daed!!!1
It's the best it has been in years.
Explain how that's a bad thing.
I miss damage amp on Flesh Golem
>tfw haven't played solo in years
Feels good to have a group of friends to play with in all honesty
You can select you role before queueing?
This is awesome.
They literally did this same in League of Legends a few years back, when they merged solo and team play into one queue. It was a complete shitshow. They also tried positional ranks, which was also removed after two months because the player base hated it.
Now you can actively play with friends to grind mmr. Seems nice.
Why and why?
NEVER post this thread again or there will be consequences.
this. haven't touched ranked or played solo in years.
They merged solo/duo queue ranked and team rank into one queue where you could play solo vs a full 5 man premade. It also made boosting incredibly easy, since you could have a few higher ranked friends play on smurf accounts, and team up with a lower-ranked friend too boost his rank.
Position/role MMR was a good idea on paper, but the result was that players ended up thinking: "oh I queued for role X, but I got role Y. Now I'm not going to try to win, cause it only affects my Y rank and I don't care about that."
