ITT: Favorite class/job/vocation/speciality

Oh shit it's job time.
Whats your
>favorite vidya job
>job you'd like to see represented more
>shit that you love but it's usually turbo trash
>classes you never see

For me it's beast tamer, motherfucking whip and boot is all you need to kick wild lines in the testicles and bend to your will.
They're always fucking shit job though
>limited to just one monster on screen
>can't unleash a zoo hoard of chimeras, giant lizards, dragons and bears on someone
>no way to control each unit
>ai is fucking retarded and useless
>they just die en masse cuz you can't do shit to heal them
fuck this shit

Women versions are cringe.

Usually I tend to play dual wielding classes heavy focused on agility and very light armor for evasion, something similar to a blade dancer. If I have to play an stealthy job to feel that purpose, I go on that as well. Demon Hunters on WoW come to mind, as I would not need to pick rogues to fill the blade dancer archtype. I think the role would be similar to an acrobat.

I also like to play a gunslinger type of class, focused on fireweapons, usually dual pistols and sniping for example, and also focused on being fast and agile. SWTOR mercenary bounty hunters come to mind as an example.

Necromacer
I want more druid representation
Chronomancers in concept are cool but they are rarely used in vidya

I really liked the gunslinger type classes in phantasy star.
That game had a lot of cool ideas in general.

>favorite vidya job
Summoner
>job you'd like to see represented more
Summoner and necromancer
>shit that you love but it's usually turbo trash
Clerics and paladins
>classes you never see
Shaman

What kind of games you play where clerics and paladins are trash, my dude?
They're usually really fucking strong and unkillable with all the buffs and healing, not to mention beef and smite potential.

>Shaman
that's true though, dark magic/curses type classes are usually relegated to the trash bin
they can cause some shitty blindness for a miss chance or maybe a crappy poison and the rest is just elemental damage magic reskinned to dark
i'd like to see some real woodoo tribal bullshit rituals

>favorite vidya job
Mimic.
>job you'd like to see represented more
Mimic
>shit that you love but it's usually turbo trash
I couldn't even tell you, everything i like that has a variety system like jobs and stuff, the ones i like ALWAYS turn out to be the shittest.
>classes you never see
Mimic

Halfway between archer and rogue

What kind of mimic are we talking and what would you like to see from it?
The only class like that I can think of is maybe mime from FFT?
They're fairly strong but kinda bland, they just copy the actions of other units.

I can't imagine what else they would be able to do.

DRAGOONBROS RISE UPPPPPPP

The closest I can get to being the nuclear bomb.

So usually mage.

>Necromancer (Prefer a mage + knight type of deal like Death Knight in WoW)
>Death Knight
>Necromancer
>Death Knight outside of WoW

>mfw when dragoons are just lancers with weird armor

diablo 2 necro was bretty gud

Monk
not there
well fuck you Op.
Monk and make him be a sponge of HP so armor can be light.
Do some Dragonball shit, or make more really flashy animal kungfu moves, allow weapons in special attacks like Nunchuck build.

Diablo 2 was the last good necro I've ever seen, please make more necros that aren't
>mage but the effects are black/green

>favorite vidya job
Blaster mage.

>job you'd like to see represented more
Charisma-based blaster mage, like the sorcerer class in D&D. A classless system that lets me easily put points in both magic and charisma is also acceptable. The four big things I want to do in RPGs are blow shit up with magic, be persuasive/charismatic, make lots of choices in dialogue, and customize my appearance.

>shit that you love but it's usually turbo trash
Magic staves. Most games don't really seem to know what to do with them. To be fair, I'm not quite sure how I'd like them to work either.

>classes you never see
Incubus/Succubus.

It doesn't have to just be one of those, just some examples.

>magic staves
i dunno about that but they are really good weapons in divinity OS
>Incubus/Succubus
never ever outside of joke/porn games, how would it even work?

Necromancer
Necromancer
Necromancer
Necromancer
>inb4 bro there's a necromancer in X, just ignore the fact you don't actually raise dead or do anything cool
Shut the fuck up.

Would you like to go to a fucking graveyard every time you wanna summon a skelly or a zombie?
Because if not then a lot of games let you raise the corpses of enemies you just killed.

I would in fact love to be able to change my surrounding area into a graveyard.

>that's true though, dark magic/curses type classes are usually relegated to the trash bin
>they can cause some shitty blindness for a miss chance or maybe a crappy poison and the rest is just elemental damage magic reskinned to dark
>i'd like to see some real woodoo tribal bullshit rituals
I don't know how well it works, because I never tried it, but Risen 2 and 3 both have voodoo magic that's supposed to be more focused on indirect stuff and requires you to build dolls and stuff.

Deneb

>i dunno about that but they are really good weapons in divinity OS
I really need to get around to playing that. Every time I seek recommendations for turn-based WRPGs, that's the only one people give that I'm actually interested in. The other recommendations are either roguelikes, post-apocalyptic, or low fantasy.

There will be no negotiations, Bosch.

Not him but I picked it up a few days ago and it seems great so far but it's pretty difficult, at least at the beginning. Then again, I didn't play the first game so I have no prior knowledge of the mechanics. But so far I reccomend it.

>monk
> super hero- has high power and or speed but weak against magic, can shoot eye lazers or power punch.
>Monk, no shit, Monk gets either over powered or fucked. Wish they put more effort in intergrating Monk in the game better.
>Trucker, can summon convoy of trucks to run over people

>Rogue
>Non dumb fuck version of warrior
>Why would I fight fair when I could kick you in the nuts or blind you then shiv you
>Fuck you and your honor i'm in it for the money you little bitch

monks
good kind of monks, i need some actual moveset and not just "you punch strong"

also necros I agree with that sentiment, they're usually terrible
and I think that might be it
Just those 3
