While I agree, it doesn't change the fact the translation of this game is still pretty bad. Besides changing the names, they also decided to change suggestive puns, wrote jokes into scenes that have no jokes and changed some dialogue that may have not been understood by a non-weeb/japanese player, but what they came up with instead usually makes even less sense. So you have lots of smaller exchanges that seem incredible forced and are neither funny nor make any sense.
Reason why I'm not talking out of my ass: I actually understand Japanese and due to the nature of the game, you are pretty much forced to listen to the entire dialogue spoken out, so it's easily comparable to the "translated" subtitles.

I don't think it's canonically much bigger than any of them, we just get to see more of it since it's the main focus of the DLC. Most of the Titans from the main game have a lot more to them that we don't see (some of it is mentioned in NPC dialogue and merc missions descriptions), because the party is generally just briefly passing through on their way to the World Tree.

The UI complaints just come from shitposters and/or people not knowing you can hide the useless attacks and Blade names just by pressing the right stick. Everything in the UI is useful to the battle system, and things come and go on/from the screen depending on what is happening contextually. Gacha isn't an issue, the game gives you the best Blades from the story anyway. It only matters if you're a completist autist, and even there, maths tells you it's not THAT hard to event get KOS-MOS, which is the equivalent of a legendary post-game weapon in any other jrpg in existence, so it's natural you'll get her at the end of your playthrough, or in postgame

Which is weird when you have instances where things sound fine. So why does the director suddenly get it right? Like over half the scenes with Nia are amazing, especially when she's crying. Then you have Zeke and all of his stuff is great, Morag also emotes properly throughout the entire game and has really nice subtle shifts depending on who she's speaking to. Then you have Rex, who sounds at least consistent when it comes to the comedy bits, but is still a little dull and can't scream for shit and then Pyra, who sounds like she's bored half the time. So excuse me if I feel like the old "It's the directors fault" seems more like covering up for incompetence. I'm sure the director does make stupid decisions on which take to keep sometimes and them being unable to tell how good a line was delivered, or deciding to go with lines with awkward pauses. We all have heard about the horror story that was Other M and Sakamoto trying to voice direct after all. But when over half the cast, including bit characters are just fine for most instances and it's just this one character that is consistently bad. I can't help but think she's overblowing things.

For comparison's sake, watch the sleepwalking scene from Chapter 4 of the main game, and then watch the almost identical scene from Torna: The Golden Country. The difference in the quality of Mythra's voice work is insane, despite it being the same actress in both scenes, and it matches up with TGC as a whole having better voice direction all around.

It depends on what kind of resources they had access to while recording stuff for the game. This was the first time a Xenoblade has been dubbed while the game was still in development (not after the Japanese release) so it's fair to assume that they didn't have entirely consistent access to things like finished cutscenes.
I'm paraphrasing from a tweet that was referring to some kind of interview with Yuichi Nakamura (Malos's JP VA), but apparently in the early stages of development, he was voicing scenes only really knowing the details of Malos's character, and didn't even know the gender of characters like Jin and Akhos.
If some of the scenes in the dub were recorded in a similar way, it's easy to see how things could end up disastrously without a solid director.
