Stuttering in all games

Does anyone else have issues? I'm thinking it's Windows 10 messing everything up.

>he fell for the windows 10 meme
good luck with that

What do you mean by "stuttering"? I get split-second hitches in a lot of games for seemingly no reason.

Yeah, that's basically what i'm getting too. For whatever reason, Minecraft runs terrible, but I can play GTA 5 and Dying Light with less hesitations.

Try buying a computer from this decade

lemme guess you bought AMD huh

>no telemetry
>performance of W10
>convenience of W7
>still updated with security patches
>no Windows-bloat
>no forced upgrade
Even /g/ agrees that 8.1 is patrician-tier.

THE WINDOWS CYCLE

Maybe your CPU or GPU is falling behind a bit? Maybe some games are using more RAM than you have?

windows 10 doesn't have telemetry, patches, security issues or forced upgrades either.
just dont connect you win10 gaming PC to the internet.

Well if you think about it, it does make sense.
Windows 7 was the last good windows, and then 8 was shit, but then 8.1 came out (yeah the home screen is shit, but you can just download open shell and it's fucking gold), which inevitably leads to windows 10 which would be the next in the cycle.
(Also, if you paid attention, microsoft leaned REALLY hard into people forgetting that 8.1 was as much of a change from 8 as it was.)

Good one

Is this new for you user? I've noticed my pc runs slower since the update.

Do you have dual monitors? Do you use chrome to watch videos while playing? Turning off hardware acceleration in Chrome could stop the stuttering. Updating to late drivers might also help. Nvidia had a stuttering issue with dual monitor setups where one monitor was gsync and the other not. There was also an issue with dual monitor setups with different resolutons.

It's yet another bug MS isn't in any hurry to fix.

W10 is a fucking trainwreck. I couldn't even get my Windows XP VM running in it without intense lag.

The performance is better for VR shit, though, thanks to motion smoothing hiding some of the stutter. Shame they had to try and force everyone to update by withholding these features.

Go into your monitor settings and make sure your refresh rate is as high as it can be. This has fixed several stuttering and black screen issues I've had with games, no joke.

Windows 10 has a lot of fuckery going on in the background with updates and store shit, so look up a guide on how to disable all that. You'll get about a 20% better performance if you have a shitty setup.

windows is the past. Linux is the future

connect the monitor to the graphics card on the back end of your computer, instead of the build-in motherboard graphics card? Yeah, i did that once and wondered why games stuttered...

Not OP but I had this issue and boy am I pissed about it. FUCK WONDOWS 10. First, fast boot makes my audio crackle and desync, then, one note or one drive made my games minimize every fucking hour, and now, this stupid shit .

>Use to burn some DVDs
>Said DVDs can't be read on W10 to burn
Am I the only one?

For me it's LoL, frequent frame drops when yesterday my machine deliver stable 40fps.

Literally this is the solution. Games run much smoother. If you don't want to use bloatware, this software does the same shit but faster and lighter.

That doesn't exists anymore, dipshit. It used to exists but not in that way.
