Except it doesn't, it just looks fucking lazy. They updated your field of view, but made decisions to limit not only how much you can see, but also how fast Link moves, so that it closely matches his rate of movement to the original. It's the exact thing you don't want in a "remake".

It's insane how much of a reskin this game is. Whoever is directing this game is extremely autistic. Like what is the fucking point of it all? Have these people never played REmake? You're allowed to expand on the original work.
This doesn't seem to be a problem of time or resources, just a total lack of vision. In all likelihood it's simply a mandate by Aonuma, he's said that the reason they're remaking an old Gameboy game is because BotW was such a huge departure for the franchise. It's overcompensation of the worst kind.
