When Sakaguchi decided to develop it
Never. In fact is overrated specially the dream stories.
I wish we could have seen their world.
I haven't played it. I heard I should not grind
At times i felt like I was replaying ff4 and ff6. Loved every minute of it.
I suck at these games help, that first big bird kills us all immediately
It's been a while. Do you know the name of the enemy?
The big bird that appears when you all 3 see the tower, I know I suck dick at the game, but I need tips for this game in general, I have interest but I don't play JRPGs often, it says it is called Grilgan
Bouts to start on this recommendation. Anything to keep in mind going in?
I remember getting to a snow area and being forced to use the three specific characters I hadn't touched at all, and Lost Odyssey is one of those retarded JRPGs that doesn't distribute experience to characters outside the party. So I was trapped at an unbeatable boss. Up to that point I figure it was a good Final Fantasy clone with an above average soundtrack and writing, a likeable and non-retarded cast of characters (in a time when JRPGS were as bouncy and neon as ever) and a totally missed opportunity with the battle QTEs. I got pissed and never played it again, then sold my Xbox 360. If it ever got a remaster I would definitely give it another shot. It was better than the dogshit that was Infinite Undiscovery.
Ah, alright. Are you casting Flare on it? Also, don't be afraid to use items if need be. Items are incredibly useful in this game.
Just sit back and enjoy. Though the dream stories can be on the longer side quite a few of them are definitely worth taking the time to read.
PC port when? How the FUCK did RoF get ported before this?
you can't grind. you hit a level cap that makes it so you only get 1exp until you progress far enough again
TURN BASED
LOL!
You are thinking of Last Remnant
When will Microsoft acquire Mistwalker and pull them out of the mobile hell they've dug themselves into?
I know the exact part you're talking about with either Janson or Seth (can't remember either of which who was in that group) and Cooke and Mack. I completely had ignored Cooke and Mack up to that point and got trashed by that boss so many times I had to suck it up and grind in order to scrape by. Shame that happened to you, the game is still very good after that. Only bit of advice is to not ignore leveling your mortal party members in case you ever pick it up again. The story is especially more intriguing after that point.
RoF?
Resonance of Fate
Honestly for this game, AC6 and NG:B, I'm thinking of picking up a 360 or even an Xbone
Jansen is a GOAT character and Mommy Seth is waifu.
I got to the cave where the main character's wife or whatever joins the party. I wasn't enjoying it, got ambushed and game over'd, lost like 2 hours of progress and never played it again.
Did it get better or was it just not for me?
Is RoF worth playing?
It's ok, combat is fun but the plot is a painful slog
Also I was incredibly disappointed in the soundtrack. Despite being composed by Nobuo Uematsu, only one theme actually stood out to me. But damn did it stand out.
That is one of the best songs in the game. A lot of the songs are very slow and somber, but some are good. The final boss theme is great too, but the one you posted is the best in the OST in my opinion
I also quite liked this one, it has a much faster tempo and is more upbeat than most RPGs with "special fight" songs

I wish it was on a proper console or PC so i could actually play it
It was more Daisuke Fukugawa than Sakaguchi
>button mashing baby
Yikes!
I struggle to get the motivation to keep playing it.
The combat's slow and spikes in difficulty like a motherfucker. PARA FLARE The writing is great in the memories, but jarringly different, almost anime SoL in the party dialogue.
You read these somber, moving tales of an unending life, and then Jansen completely breaks the mood by being a huge dork. It's bizarre.
Jansen was really fucking likeable, his antics were genuinely pretty great and his romance with Ming is actually pretty nice
this really, nothing else about the game stands out
part of the reason why mistwalker is in mobile hell in the first place is because they made an exclusivity deal with microsoft
